Since it's festival season in Europe (and everywhere else it seems), this week it's the Montpellier Languedo-Roussilon Festival of Radio France, featuring the 16 year old piano sensation from Canada Jan Lisiecki with music of Chopin. It was recorded live and direct from the festival on July 18th.
There's a little discrepancy between the concert listed in the schedule and the one actually broadcast. It starts off with the Chopin Piano Concerto #1 which is not listed in the notes. But that shouldn't prevent you from enjoying what is a very nice concert with a truly young and gifted pianist.
As usual, it's broken up between two players and I've included the notes from France Musique, even though they aren't correct.
