France Gall - that quintessential good girl/bad girl combination in French Pop Music.

Over to a taste of French Pop tonight with one of the great examples of the "yeh-yeh" genre of French Pop music of the early-mid 1960's. France Gall was one of a group of young women who captured the pop music market in France during the 1960's. They were disarming powerhouses who had breathtaking good looks, talent and savvy and who are, to this day, revered as some of the great singers France has had to offer.

In case you aren't familiar with this historic phenomenon of Pop music, tonight's track, Le Temps de la Rentree, is off her 1966 album Baby Pop.

A nice introduction.
