The Yardbirds during the Jimmy Page phase - the one band that had a serious attack of Guitar gods.

As I'm sure you must know by now that today, January 9th, is Jimmy Page's birthday. He turns 68 and, by all accounts, has no intention of slowing down.

I thought, by way of tribute to a man whose music has been such an integral part of Rock n' Roll, I would play a track from one of the seminal bands he was involved in early on. The Yardbirds were a who's who of Rock legends, from Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck to the inimitable Mr. Page.

From a BBC session, recorded on March 16, 1968, The Yardbirds and Jimmy Page do wonderful justice to the Jerry Ragovoy classic My Baby.

Those Rock gods are just timeless.
