And it is preventable.
Rep. Don Young got into a heated confrontation with a Republican voter over his horrendous speech to high school students that blames suicide on government dependence.

Rep. Don Young, a congressman for over forty years, went into Wasilla High School on Tuesday and told grieving teenagers that the suicide of one of their classmates was the result of lack of support from friends and family.

Wasn't this something they couldn't have figured out earlier? Not that anyone would have changed anything, of course....
If you've read the book or seen the movie, you know it's about a young man struggling with suicidal thoughts. The author's depression got him in the end.
