Sen. Roy Blunt Pretends Republicans Will Pass A New Healthcare Law In A Few Months After It's Overturned By SCOTUS
Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO) gives Chuck Todd the equivalent of a Friedman Unit on them doing something to protect preexisting conditions and keeping kids on their parents' healthcare if SCOTUS does what they're hoping they'll do and overturn the ACA. Blunt also claims they're making some sort of progress on a COVID relief bill.
"They won't do that until sometime in the late, late spring or early summer before you even know what their ruling is. And we'll have time to deal with this," he said about the Supreme Court's possible ACA ruling.
Sen. Mike Lee tells ABC's George Stephanopoulos that he doesn't believe the Affordable Care Act is constitutional and that the fact that it may be eliminated with the addition of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court "shouldn't tarnish" Barrett.
Utah Sen. Mike Lee was more than happy to weigh in on his opinion of the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act and the nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett, but really didn't want to say anything about what it would mean for the lives of millions of Americans if the law is repealed.
