Giuliani visits Pat Robertson U.

In 2000, when Bush visited Bob Jones University, it became quite a controversy — why would a credible presidential hopeful sanction BJU with a high-profile appearance? The questions dogged Bush for weeks.

Similarly, if a top-tier Democratic presidential candidate publicly appeared with a radical extremist who blamed 9/11 on Americans and encouraged a terrorist attack on the U.S. State Department, it's safe to assume it would quickly become a nightmare for the Dem's campaign.

With that in mind, Rudy Giuliani's visit to Pat Robertson U. should be a very big deal.

Hello?

The Samson complex pervades the right wing elements of US society. The urge to pull down the temple from within is contagious among the red-staters and Fox news.
Giuliani's prospects have just come to nought.

Typical.

...comments are back on?
I couldn't even get to view the comments a short while back, and the new page (which came up whenever I clicked on the "comments" link) didn't even have a "comments" link on it?

Must be a new software glitch?

Next week Robertson is going to reciprocate with a visit to Rudy Giuliani U.

It'll be fun to see the secret shrine Rudy has built to the mafia at his beach resort in Salerno. It's rumored to be a slightly-scaled-down version of NYC, with rides in limousines (and garbage trucks, and police cars) being pursued by machine-gun-wielding gangsters from the mayor's office .

Also to see the actual graduation dais where Rudy bestows diplomas on members of his staff, such as Kerik, who graduate to 'Made Men' status after completing their Giuliani internship.

One would think that the Southern Fried Christians wouldn't cotton to a yankee papist on their sacred turf.
