Bill Moyers and the Yes Men
Uniongal at DKos has a fantastic write up and videos from Bill Moyer's Journal last weekend interviewing the Yes Men.
Once again, Bill Moyers nails it with giving some attention to some people who are doing great work and trying to draw attention to how screwed up our democracy is with the corporate takeover of our government. If you missed it, Bill Moyers interviewed Mike Bonanno and Andy Bichlbaum aka The Yes Men about the work they've been doing, and the interview is truly shocking.

Frankly i am stunned that no one had any praise for the hilarious and prophetic acts these men are doing they are very brave have a lot of balls to confront these sheeple on a level that is so subtle yet massively effective and non confrontational they are truly geniuses. i was lmao so hard while being intellectually stimulate while i was entertained.
YES!
That was fantastic, I'm glad I watched it and I hope many more do as well. What really surprised me near the end of part 1 was that they pulled that prank in my neck of the woods, that being Calgary, Alberta. I did not hear about this happening, but you couldn't have picked a better Canadian city than Calgary to pull that stunt.
I hope this video gets a lot more expose. I'm going to make sure some of my fellow Calgarians see it.
This comment board illustrates the problem that Bill Moyers and the Yes Men both struggle with, and we as a nation are poorer for it. And that problem is they both are ignored by the MSM, and therefore unknown to most Americans.
Awesome! These guys rock, and Moyers is great for having them on.
I never go to Kos anymore. Been gone for over a year. Don't like the folks over there and don't care what they have to say or what they're up to. They're DLCrs... which makes them one step away from being Leiberman butt licks.
So if you want to see the PBS Bill Moyers Journal Interview of the Yes Men, which was excellent,
go straight to the source and see it on the Web. PBS does a heck of a job putting up full length films of all their shows.

Yellowbird @ 6:
Me either.
These guys, in their own way, are geniuses.
a person @ 7:
Yeah, who ever goes there? Its too crowded.
Kos sold himself out to the bombiranocrats.
Bill Moyers and Jon Anderson?
@ysbaddaden: not THOSE "Yes" men... LOL
Another great interview by Bill Moyers. Too bad hardly anyone sees real reporting anymore...
So far, WOW! I like them!
When you stop to consider how long it took the minority of their audience to realize they were being put on, it is just horrifying. Yes, they were buying into it- not being duped, but agreeing in "principle". eeccHH!!
They brought meaning to the term "pinching a burger".
Weird timing. I just picked up the Yes Men video last night on a recommendation...and now here it is on the web. Serendipity or Synchronicity?
I hope they target the drug companies next -- or health insurance -- and maybe it's good MSM doesn't cover their exploits more since the establishment would finally catch on -- but Three Cheers for the Yes Men!
hmm, the lefty blogospherics comin' down on the kos...
has billO heard about this... ?
Now folks, now you see how many of these so-called "important" meetings/summits or whatever you want to call them are just a bunch of BS, with some remarkable exceptions aside, there is nothing valuable that can be extracted from. Attendees go for the free food, nice accomodations, first or business class tickets, networking, some scripted speeches and that was it.
I came across their first movie a while back in a local video store and highly recommend it.
About more people getting their information from fake news, I believe that most people get the straight news and then look to the satire available to see if the real news is as distorted as it seems. Satire is not possible without a base of information to satirize. I'm sure that if Swift were alive today he would be doing multi-media presentations like the Daily Show or The Yes Men.
The true power of satire is to expose the absurd for what it is.
