The non-governmental organization Save the Children has rightly earned a reputation for bringing the best practices in sustainable development and family health care to developing nations around the world. But in selecting Dr. Bill Frist as its front-man for its new "Survive to 5" campaign against childhood mortality, Save the Children has chosen the wrong prescription.

Thanks for the link, Mike. I think Krugman has the Democrats' likely response nailed here.

Scott Horton's "No Comment" blog is consistently amazing. It routinely mixes philosophy, political science, and classical literature to provide a refreshing analysis of current events. I encourage everyone to read it, you'll be surprised what you learn.

That being said, can anyone recommend any more blogs like Horton's?

I can't think of any blog that quite matches Scott Horton's posts at Harpers'. It's a daily must read.

Thanks for the link, Mike. I'm hoping that some readers can give us further information or documentation about what the heck is going on with the outsourcing of SIGIR's oversight in Iraq.

Keep reading MBR and you'll discover many blogs you'll enjoy. I've linked Horton in the past, and will continue to link him and other high quality sites.
