Scary that she sounds smarter than the guy who has been in the Senate for 20+ years.
I'll see you at the debates, bitches.

Paris Hilton Responds To Wrinkly White-Haired Dude
And that's just his putz.
Oh yeah. Gotta love bipartisan Paris.
She is hot. She sounded like a Liberal there, wth is that. Allow off shire drilling at the same time we start building american made hybrids, OMG she is smart too, WOW. Like a leberal doing more than 1 thing at a time, ie Multi-tasking. Yay for the new generation.
no doubt the sexiest candidate
Is the the wrinkling old dude and his staff laughing now?
When they played this on the Today Show this morning it was declawed to remove the first part that ridiculed McCains age by comparing him to tales ftom the crypt's host etc, and bleeping out bitchez. Seems the MSM still are trying to shield McCain from negative publicity.
HA HA HA....take that McGramps.....you got served!
"Wrinkly white-haired dude"
lmao
Weaseldog @ 5:
The wrinkling old dude and his tired old staff. Har, har.
Eric @ 6:

But Eric, think about the age of the average Today Show viewer. They can't rip into their core viewer demographic.
But what does she do!?
I suddenly have a new-found respect for Paris Hilton
Oh for crying out loud: Cand L, STOP saying she sounds so smart- or that she is smarter than she appears to be- because of this video. All it proves is that she's an opportunist and she can read. What, do you think she came up with this all on her own? Do you think she wrote and concieved of it? Big deal: so she read a prepared script.
When it comes time to eat the rich, I'm gonna save her for dessert.
I haven't laughed about her this much since she got hauled of to jail. Seems she learnt something while in there!
Steve @ 13:
I would assume her ideas and statements are no more hers that McCain's are his.
It was a joke, perhaps you should lighten up.
Best not to mess with the Hilton family after they have maxed out the amount of money they are allowed to give to your campaign. Using their daughter in your campaign ad and insinuating she is a famous air-head isn't the brightest thing to do.
I love this video! They played it in it's entirety on MSNBC this morning at least twice. The last line is a killer.
Damn I hate it when my preconceptions get shattered. Ms. Hilton seems, in the video at least, much less vacuous than I had thought and certainly much less so than Sen. McCain, who just offered up his 54 year old wife for the voyeuristic entertainment of several thousand bikers.
I can't imagine anything more insulting than being her Bitch. I wonder how McCain feels about being a bitch of a Hilton?
Steve @ 13:
Wow I'm beginning to think you're serious. Relax. What happened to the new-found Repub sense of humor that explains ever slur ad?
Who would have thought it would take Paris Hilton to show some "balls" against the Repukes.
I find this hard to say; maybe others can learn from PH and stop taking the shit the Repukes continuously toss.
ashton @ 16:
I knew this would be the reaction from those who slapped their thighs and guffawed over McBush's joke.
I don't care if Britney wrote it, it's funny. Like my Mom used to say, people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks. Maybe the McBush/Atwater/Rove crowd ought to rethink their "funny" ads.
It sounds like she can give a better speech than McCain
Steve @ 13:
She reads a script WAY better than Bombin'Johnnie, doncha think? I'd say she's at least AS Smart as the skeevy, little (5'7") baby killer...
I just thought of something.
The reason for this "rebuttal" is because McCain compared Barack to Paris... they're both celebrities (and we're left to our own imaginations why that's a bad thing).
Now Paris just called McCain a bitch. He can't do shit about it because of all the Hilton money he receives. I don't think he's actually up for starting a war with anyone who can hurt him personally. Iran is fine because other people will fight that but he won't take on the Hiltons because he will personally get hurt.
Now if Obama (remember, he's Hilton's equal) calls McCain a bitch you know he won't let that go. In fact, it will probably lose the election for Obama. So I'm not saying he should do it. I'm just saying that Hilton and Obama are clearly not on equal footing because McCain will do for Hilton after she insulted him the same as he did for Bush after he insulted McCain. McCain will kiss that ass until it's squeaky clean.
I don't think he'll do the same for Obama.
"Loves it."
Steve @ 13:
That's about what McCain can do, too. Read a prepared script. Regardless of the changes that occur in it from day to day. Just read the words in front of you, sir, don't worry about what they mean.
Oh, and WAAAAAHHHHHHH!
"I’ll see you at the debates, bitches."
I'd pony up pay-per-view prices to see her debate those two. Better yet, let's make the debates a UFC Octagon matchup.
Steve @ 13:
Yes, I agree, and I think she needs a spanking, or a stern toe sucking.
It's from "Funny or Die" .
now this is funny: Human Giant - Foley Artist
Actually Paris is probably smarter then she lets on. She knows that her ditzy image is marketable and has parlayed it into a book deal, acting gigs, a music CD (even if it is awful), a clothing line as well as one for dogs because of her dog. She's smarter than she seems and I think that's because she realizes that image sells.
She may not be an Einstein or any sort of genius but I don't think she's an idiot like everyone else does.
Rp
McCain thought by promising tax break to the rich, he can own Paris Hilton.
She refused to be owned and used by McCain.
Now she is responding to him with ad of her own.
Her mother before her responded also to McCain sleazy ad. and called it waste of money.
McCain learned his lesson from this ad.
May be he didn't.!!
Wow,...she's reading much better now,..
I still liked her first video the best,..maybe that's just me though,..
bitchen
So this is what it has come to. Excuse me while I throw up some fresh blood.
She spent well on the writers.
I do like the fact that she calls mcstain old half a dozen times.
Bet those tire gauges don't seem so funny all of a sudden, huh mcgramps?
The truly funny part is that in a debate between mcsame and wonky mcvaltrex there, she would win hands down.
Wow. Americans must finally be coming out of it's media and 911 induced coma and raising it's intellectual and educational standards. Paris Hilton...Political analyst and critic.

Best production and writers money can buy.
Randy @ 31:
Obama should run an ad listing the contributions the Hilton family has made to the McCain campaign along with how Paris was misused in McCain's campaign ads. Then he should have immediate follow with the caption: "To McCain anyone is expendable, even his most loyal supporters."
McCain's campaign should learn something from this. The lesson is be careful what you start.
His campaign better come out quick with a statement. Something like we appreciate Ms Hilton's sense of humor.
I guess everyone thought McCain's ad was hee-haw funny except those who appeared in it.
Dr. Britney Hussein Matt @ 36:
My daily rant? They are becoming less and less because even the internet has become a complete farce.
It shows she has a sense of humor about herself and her image and that's one of the best things you can say about anybody's character. I have a new-found respect for P.H. but I still wish I'd quit hearing about her (and similar other celebrities) every time I turn on the tv news.
L.A. Confidential @ 37:
Lighten up, Frances.
pissed off patricia @ 17:
I thought they did the Paris Obama ad because they like to imagine Obama without panties.
cbjames @ 12:
me too! not much but some.
Fanon @ 43:
LAC is a miserable rat. Nothing makes her happy. She is perpetually unhinged and perpetually breathless. She is miserable, miserable, little person. Spend 10 minutes reading her posts and it's obvious.
L.A. Confidential @ 41:
Then log-off. You won't be missed. It actually might make you happy for once. But, I doubt it.
Just a tad off the path here but bush and the president of South Korea are live on c-span doing a press conference. When it was bush's turn to make a speech, the second sentence out of his mouth was that he was looking forward to having lunch. Geez, is food all this dude thinks about when he is visiting leaders overseas? At least he didn't mention anything about eating a pig.
Y'know, since W told us our patriotic duty in the wake of 9/11 was to go shopping, we can't get any more patriotic than to elect a girl who pretty much does nothing BUT shop.
Weaseldog @ 44:
I'm not touching that! ;)
Parasite Hilton? Hot? Only to those who have never gotten any by age 25.
And she's not that bright. If she were, she would have finished the video in one or two takes.
Between the beginning and the end, she goes from completely in the light to completely shaded without the chair moving. That would take at least an hour.
Wow I can't decide who's hotter Paris Hilton or Miss Buffalo Chip McCain't.
At least she HAS a plan! (reading it or not)....
McLame can't even read his remarks off a script at a biker gathering much less come up with ANY plan that makes sense to the under 1-year-old-crowd... (IQ less than a peach)...
Right on bitches!!!
Hell she sounds smarter then Obama. Not that being smarter than either candidate is going to prove to be a tough feat.
Chopvac @ 51:
To quote dick cheney, "So?"
Well, I'm get a little rightwing conservative on you guys here.
How old is Paris now? I think she been lettin her boobs hang natural a little too long, Perky Paris don't leave us , please noooooooooo........
My 2 cents:
It's funny and well done.
Politics or no, thanks to Paris for some very good entertainment.
She still a dumbass, bitches.
Off shore drilling, no matter how you package it, is a caveman's idea in today's world. I like how it's made to some like a novel concept coming out of her mouth.
Ho, Please....
Max W @ 14:
Then straight to the clinic ...
I've never been a fan of Paris - but this video is just brilliant.
Don't know who wrote it (Paris gets bonus points if she did - or collaborated on it) but her delivery is sensational.
And her proposal??? Well combining both McCain and Obama's policies is pure genius!!!
A win win for everyone!!!!
Paris - you may as well run for President - Obama is wonderful, McCain is disgraceful - and you may just be the right one in the middle...
Remember the Simpsons episode where Ralph Wiggins is nominated and some of his policies actually sounded better than McCains - and Bush's for example!!!
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
pissed off patricia @ 48:
Not on the menu today. Not even puppy dog. I believe it's crow.
My respect for Paris Hilton just shot up about one million percent.
If for nothing else, McCain deserves to lose for introducing that vulgar piece of nothing to the national political debate.
Oh for crying out loud: Cand L, STOP saying she sounds so smart- or that she is smarter than she appears to be- because of this video. All it proves is that she’s an opportunist and she can read. What, do you think she came up with this all on her own? Do you think she wrote and concieved of it? Big deal: so she read a prepared script.
According to Funny or Die she acted the script without reading cue cards. Then she made them turkey sandwiches which impressed them even more. Apparently she is fairly bright and accomplished.
Pawawghagahahahagpwhit-
Paris Hilton for President???? Well, I guess porn stars need representation too in Washington.
/Snarkcasm.
Meat @ 63:
Because she read a script well? I guarantee she didn't even KNOW there was a mini-controversey involving her. She was told about and then someone said,"how can we make this work for you".
It was def funny, but totally orchestrated.
lj @ 62:
I just discovered that the press conference wasn't live, it was held apparently yesterday even though it said "live" on the screen. As I watched bush answering questions I realized what he can do after he leaves the white house. He can do impersonations of McCain. The both smile and giggle at all the wrong times.
Delicious pile.
I would much rather listen to political commentator Paris Hilton than political commentator Bill Kristol.
Putin's Bicep @ 58:
I'm fairly certain she wasn't presenting this as a real proposal. Oh, and she's not really running for president.
Breaking: Hamdan convicted.
Imagine my surprise.
Putin's Bicep @ 67:
Arthur Fiedler would be proud.
24 hours ago we here are C&L were all wringing our hands whether anyone - Obama or any of his "surrogates" - were gonna strike back at the McCain Campaign.
Last night, after the Paris Hilton video had been up only 9 hours, there were over 1,250,000 views.
Now, after having been up only 17 hours, there are more than 2,480,000 views.
ROFLMAO
cbjames @ 12:
I'm on a wait-and-see approach... I do however, have respect for the writer that came up with that piece.

Weaseldog @ 5:
Excellent question... I'd like to know more about their reaction, their real reaction, to this ad. Zinnnnnnng!!
Max W @ 14:
Pie?
I bet Jon and Colbert are jealous they didn't think up this skit. I wonder if any of their writers were involved because it sure does sound like something they would do. Sweet satire.
BobbyG @ 71:
6 military officers were the "Jury". LOL!!!!
You were right Mr. Carlin, USA... is finished!!
BobbyG @ 71:
Wow! We sure didn't see this coming, did we?
MountainMan23 @ 75:
Two words: Show Trial.
Obvious.
Girl coulda done nothing. Coulda responded with a press release through her agent. Took a couple hours, read a script, produced a funny. Props to Paris.
Steve @ 13:
Okay...I believe the point of the video is that she is not to be taken this seriously!
Putin's Bicep @ 79:
And only 4 of the six needed to agree on a verdict.
Justice.
Brilliant!
She has certainly risen in my estimation...although she couldn't have dropped any further.
Steve @ 13:
Exactly. Her delivery isn't very good either. I've never actually heard Paris speak before; she seems to be a poor imitation of Alicia Silverstone in Clueless. It is astonishing that America is actually interested in this person and anything she has to say. That being said, I'm guilty of watching this video, so I'm no better than the rest.
In response to:

For the record, if there is one, I am NOT one of the morons who " slapped their thighs and guffawed over McBushs' joke". Nor am I a Republican. Sheesh. I just find it a sad state of affairs when so much praise is heaped upon someone so undeserving of praise. Bush and his like have assaulted the idea of what it is to be " smart" for close to 8 years. He's made "smart" into a bad word, a trait to be avoided. I'll hold my applause for those truly worthy of it, thank you.
Putin's Bicep @ 67:
Meat didn't say what the respect rating was to start with. Perhaps it was 1/Billion?
Please spare me this in the future. "I'm Paris Hilton and I'm hot and you're not."
I really don't think this helps anyone - McCain or Obama. And your observation that Paris seems smarter than McCain rings true, but it also tells me that she doesn't have to pander to the voters on either side of the aisle. In other words she also sounds smarter than Obama.
Problem is she isn't. This woman had the financial resources to hire a P.R. firm of some kind and do all the work for her without having to be responsive to the center of the aisle.
I ain't so enthused with the bruised sensitivities of a spoiled rich kid. And I am not so shallow as to be swayed by same.
I hope the rest of you aren't so disposed. This is a shallow human being with a shallow response to the ravings of a shallow Presidential candidate. And she isn't exactly being complimentary to Obama. Perhaps the proper response from Obama and McCain is to take more responsible positions without regard to the perceived center.
Steve @ 13:
But nearly everything you'll ever hear McCain saying is from a script too. And as has been noted time and again, he just can't get the hang of reading a teleprompter. GWB has been reading tightly-prepared scripts for years. It hasn't kept him from looking like an idiot. A childish, drooling lame-brained unconcerned idiot, and a sadistic, evil man to boot.
One other thing - I'm pretty sure I detect in parts of this script at least some input from Paris herself. So I don't exactly agree with your point.
Sue @ 70:
My point is this was flooded onto MTV stations over the last 24 hours, to some people who have never HEARD of this issue of drilling off shore. TO THOSE people, her suggestion sound completely PLAUSIBLE. It now is a narrative in the minds of young people who, for some odd reason, follow this girl. AND there are plenty of those just look at the number of youtube visits mentioned above.
right on! @ 76:
It occurred to me that Paris just gave us new moniker for the the candidates.
Now we can refer to him as Paris's Wrinkly Old Bitch.
L.A. Confidential @ 35:
You've set the bar awfully low, if this is truly your conclusion.
Hmm. What's a bigot to do? He thinks Paris is teh sexay, but he thinks Obama is a terrorist. OH IT'S ALL SO CONFUSING!!!

As we're circling the porcelain bowl, waiting to see who's going to dump on our Inalienable Rights and the US Economy next, a little humor doesn't hurt.

She should moderate one of the debates.
in response to:

Yes, nearly everything McCain says is from a script too. So what? That means we ignore it and give undue praise to someone else? They are both empty suits, and neither are praiseworthy. Yes, I'm sure Paris had significant input into the piece. Like her " hot" quotes.
Except for the fact, she didn't make the distinction between the existing leases and the closed areas, I had to agree with everything she said. Whoever was behind this, BRILLIANT!!
I laughed so hard when I saw it, I cried!
Do you think Sen. Obama would've gotten away with "..wrinkly white haired dude."?
That Paris ad is magnificent. I'm sure she had the help of the "cream of the crop" Hollywood PR people. That ad is so perfect, it deserves a "Cleo"! Wrinkley white haired dude! I can't stop laughing!
Ha, you just got F-ed in the A! - Eric Cartman
*yawns*
Hey look! A blonde distraction! FOCUS People!!! Jeeeeezus!
If she came up with that by herself, good for her.
However came up with that FOR her, good for that person.
We need more people like that running for president... well, energy policy advisor anyway :)
Putin's Bicep @ 92:
You seriously think this "ad" is a threat to the intellectual climate of this country? Calm down, she's not going to sway people on off shore drilling. My guess would be that the folks who follow Paris for her sake are more interested in her endorsement of Maui and the brand of bathing suit she was wearing.
Paris's family is notorious for donating to the rupgnant ones. I wonder if she will break away and donate to Obama.
So let me get this straight:
The Bush Crime Junta has just convicted of war crimes, Osama Bin Laden's Valet in a Show Trial, the legality of which is dubious, more dubious and completely dubious.
After all, they had to get someone for something before the Boy Fuhrer leaves office.
But there is more.
The FBI has been busy framing a dead person for the Anthrax attacks, this just after paying FIVE MILLION to another person they were saying bad things about but who was totally innocent.
A dead man is easy to convict. But wait, there is more.
A Pulitzer Prize winning journalist has just brought about further revelations of the Bushies mendacity before and after the illegal Iraq invasion, which now even includes outright forgery of documentation.
A war that should never have happened. There, is where you will find war crimes galore. As the Nuremberg Tribunals declared, aggressive war sows the seeds for all other war crimes.
We have a Congress that, as a whole, has abdicated its Constitutional duty.
The Constitution is in shreds.
BUT…
As bad as all of this seems, fortunately, we now know that Paris Hilton, whoever she is, can read a script better than John McCain, whoever he is.
CafeenMan @ 19:
Geez, isn't McSame EVERYone's bitch?! I sure thought so... he let the republicans bitch-slap him some time ago and has been kissing their asses ever since. It would be way better to be Paris' bitch for Johnny... he loves him some mistreatment.
It's comedy. If it didn't make you laugh, that's okay. We need not beat this thing to death. It's a comedy skit, nothing more and nothing less.

Paris has the money on hand for an ad. McCain will wish he left Paris alone. Now we know Hollywood and make believe. Paris is the brightest star but she isn't dumb either. She know when to pour on the stupidity. Grandpa Hilton and Daddy/Mommy will make sure their rich friends don't give money to the McCain fund. Yes I did notice who Paris thinks might be her running mate. All this McCain did to attack Obama and use Paris and Britney along the way. At lease Paris is letting the World know what Toby Keith was saying what White People sound like. Yes Paris is white and rich as she is the example of being White in America. As kids look for role models such as Paris, Britney and Hanna Montana with all their Christian American Values our children should learn. We have to look to example of our Government leaders who lie, cheat and steal under the oath and God. We will raise our kids to be like George W. Bush a man who became President because his Daddy paid for it. Cheney would sell his Mother for oil and lie about it under oath. Look to Pelosi and Feinstein who got kick backs to cooperate with the White House. So many criminals so little time.
CMINCA @ 108:
Oops.
They'd already said they wouldn't release him even were he found not guilty. I don't know why we even bothered with a "trial."
Other than, of course, for show. Which was the obvious entire deal.

I think this was an good rebuttal to "white haired, wrinkly" dude. And besides that, she is HOT!!!. If this dude wins in November, I will have lost all hope in the election process. It was quite clear to me that in both 2000 and 2004, that the election process was fixed. I'm only hoping all the glitches have been fixed by now. Because of the corruptness in the white house over the past 8 years, this country is now in the worst shape ever. Let's bring it all back this year and get the damn republicans out of office. WE CANNOT AFFORD ANOTHER 4 YEARS OF LIES AND CORRUPTION............ It is indeed a time for change.
Paris for VP!
Weaseldog @ 93:
I love it!!!
Even people in Paris Texas thinks she's white trash.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pa-dGYjSq5k
Let's not forget that PH is an American citizen, and as such has the right to use her freedom of speech, just like every other citizen. I can't believe how many levels of misogyny I find here--as if she doesn't have the right to free speech because of who she is and how she looks. Well, Paris is a girl who couldn't make it through high school and had to get her GED, even as an extremely privileged person. This speaks to disability not stupidity. Yet she is very cognizant of the society she lives in and her place in it. Most of us can't say the same.
Very early on she started to make her own money by being her own "brand". Read the cover story Vanity Fair did on her a few years ago. This is a woman who knows what she's doing, in spite of her limitations.
cthruu @ 90:
It's good that she's not being complimentary to Obama! I was scared watching it the first time that she would say something overtly positive about him, making her ad political or -- truly scary -- some kind of endorsement of Obama. Instead, she hit back at McCain in a way that showed how trivial and shallow his ad was. That she's a shallow person is what makes it so freaking brilliant. It was really devoid of politics or side-taking (e.g., her "compromise" combining of off shore drilling and alternative energy comes after finding the best beach). I don't care if she did it for her own bruised sensitivities. What matters to me is that she highlighted the vapidity of McCain's. I suspect her ad will greatly overshadow McCain's.
Alice X - (Chomsky Nader) - status quObama - change you can pretend in - @ 105:
Appears so. And, well, here you are too.
i couldn't think of a better way to demonstrate the vacuousness of our political system than the insertion of this video--and the general discussion thereof...
This video is getting yanked from YouTube as fast as it appears.
Even in the Keith Olberman subtext.
Because it's forbidden, it will gain in popularity.
I suspect McCain's people and his supporters are getting it yanked because they want to make sure it goes viral. Or not...
I have a feeling this will spawn a lot of similar ads from the YouTube community.
How will McCain respond? Will he make a speech proclaiming that is un-Old?
right on! @ 111:
You wake up - that wasn't my point at all. I thought it was funny, but I'm of the opinion that this is nothing more than a national distraction that the MSM will cling to ad nauseam.
Paris made this video to point out that she is not going to be a pawn of either party and that her name will not be used by either party; I certainly don't blame her for that. People on this thread seem to think this was some sort of slam on McCain and endorsement of Obama. It is neither; it a slam on the entire political process and it is critical of both candidates. She basically said, "Don't mess with the Hiltons. McCain, Don't use me to further your campaign. Obama, Don't use this response to further yours." And I think she was justified in doing so.
This is about as relevant as yesterday's 9-1-1 story about the woman receiving the wrong items at the drive-thru window. You'd never know, from the MSM, that we were at war in two countries.
I love Paris!!! McSame can go fuck himself
i think the whole thing is just a plant by exxon-mobil... her billionare parents back mccain, then the ad comes out... the feigned outrage on the part of the mother, complaining about how her donation is being spent, then this well written response by the billionare daughter sex-pot actress, which on it´s face, seems reasonable, all the while giving exxon-mobil bi-partisan support to expand it´s offshore drilling rights, beyond the already outrageous amount of un-explored tracts of OUR ocean they already have...
These quarterly records in profits are paying for the best pr money can buy...
i doubt paris has enough interest in anything political to put this clever thing together with her rich freinds... this stinks of rovian evil...
and you bought it... suckers...

Maybe next Spears will do a music video mocking McCain?
McCain never learns—at least not the right thing. Al Qaeda attacks us from Afghanistan and OBL escapes so McCain whole-heartedly supports the Shrub's long-sought invasion of Iraq. Now McCain is running from deeply within Obama's shadow, so Mob McCain decides to attack other unrelated targets: Spears and Hilton. Who could want someone this clueless wielding the most powerful military on the planet?

pwned. (intentional bad grammar)
Although American big-businessman like to flaunt its image as rugged-capitalists they end up running to Old Uncle Sam whenever things get too tough. And by the time they start crying, the mess they've made is so large that we have to help them out to protect the rest of us; however, instead of merely doing enough to mitigate the damage to the general welfare, old Sam ends up making the perpetrators completely whole again so that these self-styled capitalists will not learn their lesson and will go out and make yet another mess.

Hey, if you can’t do something right why not do it catastrophically wrong? It’s the Amurkan way!

God, get a life yourself, would you? You wouldn't be missed, I'd bet, but then I don't presume to speak for everyone, as you do.
