Ok, so I watched the speech until about two minutes ago. I feel like I was just eaten at a buffet of nothing but leftovers and empty dishes. Palin had very little to say and just repeated McCain speeches and the speech when she was announced as the candidate, nothing new. The crowd cheered for everything of course, most impressive was the roaring applause that her husband was a champion snowmobiler. You know the bar is low when that is a big crowd pleaser.
Her finest moment, in my opinion, was when she was going to describe her duties as Mayor and then came up with absolutely nothing except that it had responsibilities. Her best attempt at showing that she had experience and even she apparently couldn't think of anything.

Hearing Giuliani speak tonight, I got a real feeling for how out of touch Republicans are with their base. Republican voters rejected Giuliani almost to the person. He bombed tremendously at the polls. Yet the RNC gives him a prime speaking spot and they ate him up at the convention when his speech will certainly be torn apart factually and critically in the morning. The spin will be that the MSM hates him. But the Republican voters have already spoken at the polls.
