When O'Reilly gave his "commentary" about Bristol Palin, one of the qualifying factors that made it "okay" to be teenage and pregnant was as long as you weren't a burden to society (financially, I presume). At the end of the video Bill O'Reily scolds "John" for 8 "out-of-context edits," but in actuality there are only 4 edits or a total of 6 separate Bill O'Reily clips. Certainly the cuts to Stewart are not out of context, and if the Daily Show had truly manipulated O'Reily's messaging with their editing, then he would've shown the complete clips...

The REAL truth is that the Republican leaders don't ever want to abolish abortion. They just want to talk about this wedge issue to fire up the book burners. They know it and want to keep those Jesus freaks from figuring out that they are being played. Abolish abortion and the Republicans will lose Jesus freak vote. Last missive (not that I'm that particularly pithy and would be missed by anyone), but sort of "Hearts in Atlantis" thing.
1. republicans are frightened people who will do or say anything to maintain power. Most of them have VERY similar interests and can get fired up over a few very specific messages. The dogs of the political world "come here boy time for a walk" or "look in the back yard a squirrel, go get it boy".
2. Dems are more open to other viewpoints and are more inclusive. Downside, interests are far more diverse, so more "wandering" so to speak. Harder to mobilize. Visualize organizing and cats into a marching band. Stick to the broader message.
3. god and little baby jesus are credited for far more than they should. Even if they existed, they wouldn't get involved in our little world. Its just a ploy that some use on the stupid. Yes, you are stupid even if you call it faith. Put what you say into actions and I could respect you, but you sit in a building, listen to what you should do/think and leave, some how, happy. I come by it naturally. I simply like people who are nice, I'm nice back.
5. These sites are addictive and do little for anyone but make you think you are part of something. You are not (neither am I). Amato and crew does the real work. We think we help. Nope, we disappear after two days.

I'm rather conflicted, now. I actually watch BillO the Clown fairly regularly just so I can see how Faux News thinks. He really pisses me off sometimes, but I relieve my anger by sending him emails....sometimes 3, 4, or 5 during his show. (Also relieve my anger by watching Keith Olbermann during his 2nd, repeat show).
During the conventions, I initially just got so pissed at BillO that I stopped watching him. I have promised myself to continue boycotting him, but I feel I must continue sending him emails to point out his stupidity. He has, after all, read a number of my emails on air (greatly paraphrased).
I'm going to continue to try to boycott him, but this video on C&L has got me so riled up that I just sent BillO the Douchebag 3 more emails!
