I haven't had a chance to post about the Billo/Levin War until now. This whole bail out mess has really upset the equilibrium everywhere. Bill O'Reilly (audio) actually attacked his fellow right wing talk show hosts for being against the bail out.

"It gets me angry," said O'Reilly. "I do talk radio and most talk radio is conservative-dominated ideologues; Kool-Aid drinking idiots. Idiots. Screaming at you that this is socialism, this is this, this is that. ‘It's Clinton's fault.' It's Clinton's fault? He hasn't been in office in 8 years. It's Bush's fault! It happened under Bush's watch."

But then O'Reilly's tirade seemed to aim at Rush Limbaugh-without actually naming him.

"But let's get back to this talk radio stuff," said O'Reilly. "These idiots. I mean, they're misleading you. They're lying to you. They're rich, these guys. Big cigars. All of that. ‘Yeah, oh yeah, my private jet!' And they're saying, ‘Oh, no! No bail out!' Uh, uh, no way!

"Hey! You're going to get it, not them!" O'Reilly continued. "That foreign investment pulls out, we are toast! And they'll pull out if this bailout doesn't happen. Are you getting the message here? Walk away from these liars, these right-wing liars. Walk away from them! They're not looking out for you."

Mark Levin didn't like that one bit and actually brought up BillO's sexual harassment suit. Wow!

"And I'm not talking to some of you backbenchers, and you know who I mean," said Levin. "These blowhards. You get arrogant, stupid people who get paid a lot of money to be on radio and TV to be arrogant and stupid. And one of them, one of them is on the Fox News Channel, my favorite cable channel. And he has a fledgling radio show that has no ratings, and he'll be off radio soon because he's a failure. It's the non-factor: Bill O'Reilly.

"And he is no conservative," said Levin. "He's another mainstream, moron, phony journalist. That's what he is. And, oh, jealous like hell of Rush Limbaugh. Did you notice that? The cigar and the airplane? Let me tell you something else, jerk. You can't hold a candle to him." Your ratings suck."

"You paid more in hush money for your little phone sex than I've ever earned."

Oh, snap!

PRICELESS!!! (No pun intended)

"Strange bedfellows" are getting stranger by the minute. The match-ups are getting a bit weird.

... that is too funny!!!!!

It's so funny to watch conservatives eat their own.

However, I'm glad to see Bill O finally declare that "Let's blame Clinton" crap has run its course. Let's see how other moronic GOPers react. Hell, they still blame Carter for shit.

Yup, gotta love how the US is imploding by the day. I'm not sure any of us will recognize this place in a few years.

So let me get this straight. O'Reilly is calling other commentators "conservative-dominated ideologues; Kool-Aid drinking idiots. Idiots."

Am I hallucinating, or has this market crisis driven a huge wedge into the right?

Like a bad RW case of pancreatitis, they are autodigesting themselves.

Rec: Withold treatment.

BillO, trying to distance himself from his Republican cohorts in crime, ended up getting himself kicked in the balls.

And I think this may only be the beginning.

Is there supposed to be a video in the big blank space?

If there is I can't see it.

I haven't watched Falafel Boy since his 10 million dollar pay out to hide his perversions. Too disgusting. I feel sorry for people who still do.

thats great...they should do a celebrity boxing thing for charity..i'd root for the whole building to collapse on both of them.

I am NO fan of Orally, but this little twerp Levin is the BIGGEST AHOLE in the so called Media. He sounds like a little sissy-boy, always complaining about "liberals" and how they are whimps etc. Levin and Hannity are the butt-boys of the Republicon Party and they are taking that all the way to the bank. Why do they and Rush get paid so much for spewing hate? That's easy, because there are millions of pick-up driving, Confederate Flag waving, pizza stained tee-shirt wearing morons who listen to this garbage because they are too lazy to pick up a paper or read a book!

Oh Oh. It looks like someone's gonna get a visit from faux security.

Wow. I'm not sure what to say. These are indeed strange times that I even feel mildly in agreement with Billy Bob.

How are BillO and Levin not both morons and jerks? Although, I gotta say, I love it that the wingnuts are feeding off their own now. Of course you just knew it would be reduced to this once Bush tanked the country for a generation.

in this case...the enemy of my enemy is NOT my friend.

screw them both...

"he doesn't want to talk about socialism..."

you know what? i'm so sick and tired of hearing that word. i'd say if there's one thing that's not a major risk in this country right now, it's that of us falling into socialism.

my gosh.

LOL. I can't wait to listen to Levin tonite. He wasn't on last nite, he had a stand in. Guess that bloated gas bag stressed his heart.

For those who don't know him, he is the East Coast's Michael Savage. Levin was a low level shill in the Reagan Administration. I believe in the Justice Dept. He's the author of basically a comedy book on the Supreme Court called Men in Black. I don't mean to shill for him, but if you can find it on the discount rack for $2, it's worth it for the laughs.

He is one scarey dude. Intellectual dishonesty, cognitive dissonance, half truths, half baked lies, veiled racism.

You know the type.

What is Bill-O up to? Is he suddenly becoming a populist? Or is he afraid his foreign investment portfolio is gonna tank?

in january, my lovely wife and i talked about how the repubes would eventually start destroying one another. it has been slow in coming but how glorious it is to see so close to election day. simply glorious.

Its driving a wedge into every political faction. There are a LOT of opinions on this. I'm afraid that people are going to turn to idiots like Ron Paul out of fear and desperation.

O'Reilly made more sense than Mark Levin did. Mark is just whining that O'Reilly finally sent the blame for this back at the Right-wingers for a change. Let the foreign investments walk away. Its time we cleaned our own house for a change.

The bailout isn't socialism, its permissive anarchy. We are giving into the irrational and greedy behavior of these wall street goons. I say let Wall Street Burn. No Bailouts for the right-wing economists that demanded less regulation to begin with.

The right wing is coming apart at the seams. They are all going to have one mass orgiastic brain explosion over the next month. There will be gnashing of teeth and a cannibalistic frenzy as they destroy each other. One can only hope.

OMG. Talk about a divided house. Get the pop-corn, everyone. This is the pre-cursor to the battle royal on Thursday.

The right wing is coming apart because as the economy tanks, everyone becomes a liberal.

Suddenly, not having raised the minimum wage is an issue, suddenly privatizing Social Security doesn't look so grand, suddenly it becomes clear what "deregulation" means. And regular folks aren't paying less in taxes, at best their staying even, but when you lump in things like gas and food price increases (which are defacto tax increases on the poor and middle class) ohhh...suddenly all this talk about "freedom and liberty to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps" don't look so good.

I hope the pain increases. This country needs a REAL HARD cold slap of reality, so that they learn their lesson.

it's amazing how these hate filled propagandists like orally and hannity hold on to their ratings - i have to think its because in certain markets, there are simply no alternatives, so they have a captured audience.

like a mother rat eating it's own babies.. how delicious!!

let them all rot in hell for all I care - they've certainly earned it.

Alec Baldwin once called Mark Levin "Hannity's cabin boy." Looks like Hannity's not a good tipper.

Did Christmas come early this year?

No spin.

When idiots collide! By the way, Mark Levin, how is O'Reilly's show a "fledgling show?" Hasn't it been on the air for over a decade?

"Given the blank stares one usually gets when discussing a rent tax as opposed to a general income tax on labor and industry, it seems remarkable that a hundred years ago the idea of supporting governments by taxing landlords and monopolists was a widely held ideal.
After all, this is how governments supported themselves from antiquity down to about the 17th century.'

The IMF has already demanded a complete audit of the US banking system. We all know this, right? Argentina, there we go.
Hudson also points to a calculation on Wall Street of the "equilibrium price of gasoline" --- that's $16 --- based on the falling dollar and everything else. It would go there slowly over a few years, unless the US declares war on some nation, in which expect it to jump to $8 or $12 quickly.

Interesting how the "pragmatic" people are all backing "voodoo economics" or post-classical economics, while the "flaky" UFO-sighting granola-eating Kucinich crowd is standing by the classical economics policies that created a middle class in the first place. I'm speaking of the public and "PR-news" perception of Dennis.

Thank you.

RESPONSE:

No crisis at all. These debts are owed mainly among speculative hedge funds and financial institutions that bet against each other. The “real” economy would continue. What IS chaotic is to give away this sum to 700 new billionaires.

Oil prices are aimed at $16 per gallon on Wall Street as the "equilibrium price", especially if Bush continues attacking other countries. Every time Bush threatens Iran, prices go up.
Banks and Wall Street are committed to asset stripping the global economy, not investment in growth, because the big profits are in asset stripping and destruction.

These are primarily-Republican economic policies, which have been adopted by leading Democrats.

I guess this is O'Reilly's come to jesus moment.

Levin and Rush and the rest have always been dyed-in-the-wool wingnuts. O'Reilly has his faux populist schtick, and right now he senses the tide is about to turn, big time, so he's bailing on the Bushbots.

Never mind that he's saying stuff now that would have sent him into full attack mode if one of his guests had said in six months ago, ideological consistancy is not his strong suit. Being a bigshot however, is very, very important to him, and he'll transform himself into Prince Peter Kropotkin crossed with Jack Cafferty in the next six months if that's what it takes to stay on the air and hold onto the perks.

I was listening to something earlier on XM and heard an ad for Levin's show. I have never heard of the guy before. He has perhaps the dumbest ad that I have ever heard in my life, unless 5-year-olds start making ads. I was a little embarrassed for him, just hearing the ad, frankly. He seems to be desperately trying to get attention by any means.

And I don't see any troll comments. Why?

The Snake is eating its own tail...turning on each other. Sweet.

Olbermann is getting to both of them.

Levin has called him "scum", "a lowlife", "pathetic".

O'Reilly's hatred of KO is also well known.

Keith likes tweeking O'Reilly on the air, because O'Reilly is already a known quantity on TV. In all the time that I have watched Keith, he has only mentioned Levin's name twice on air, once in a commentary and the other in "Worst Persons". However, he has NEVER responded to Levin's attacks and rightfully so. Levin is only looking to get mentioned on one of the most watched shows on TV, and Keith won't give him the satisfaction.

cabin boy attacks!

BillO sounds like he lost a truckload of cash in the stock market. hahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahaha

COMEDY GOLD!!!

Thanks, I needed that.

What a pair of a** holes. I think Levin was just angry because it was his turn to be on top.

I just love it when rigthwingers immediately turn on their own when one of them has a (very) rare moment of clarity.

Calling them lowlife would be a compliment. I look forward to the day when they're all on the trashheap of radio history.

That's exactly what I was wondering... he's one way on TV and another on the radio???

ashton, Levin is a pathetic little talk radio troll. Alex Baldwin was right, Levin is only Hannity's lackey.

Supposedly this clown has a law degree, but to listen to him mangle the law makes it clear why he doesn't have a working practice.

His claim to fame was he was just another lice crawling around the butt crack of Ronald Reagan.

I only listen to him because unfortunately...it's either sports talk (and really how many ways can you analyze a loss), canned newsradio (after 20 minutes...you've got the whole cycle) or these talk radio androids. BUT, I can only listen to Levin in at most 3 minute increments, and then I'm changing the station.

Here's some classic Levin lines...

"We have the liberal call in line open and also our regular phone line for real Americans like me".

"You're RUINING MY country!"

"Get off the phone, ya jerk" - Typically when he is losing an argument.

Cool! GOP Civil War here we come!

I can't wait for them to lose this election so that they can start tearing each other to shreds over who was to blame for Bush, for McCain, for Palin.. over their failed ideologies.. and their specialty: Hate and outrage for its own sake!

Of course, they may well end up uniting in mutual hatred of Obama. That wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. Suppress their inner dissent until the next election, when it explodes in full fury again and denies them the chance of unseating him. And then the blame can continue and the cycle begins again! :)

It's a nice wish at least :)

hehehehe... fun to watch and listen to, isn't it? I have to say schadenfreude is alive and well for me.

Or is it a Polk? I get confused.

get some popcorn,

this is gonna be fun!

Love to see the fat tounges eat each other. Does anyone even know who cabin boy Mark Levin is ?? Did he just say that himself, Rush, and Sean are interested in facts ??? Hillarious. when one of the right wing meat puppets step out of line, the rest of them go for the jugular.

I even heard one of these jello heads blame Carter and Clinton, totally ignoring Reagan, Bush I, the worst Pres ever. hillarious.

Blame Carter? They're still blaimg FDR!

I am glad to see them turn on each other.

Billo is positioning himself for after the Democratic deluge--I see this as a sign that he knows Obama is going to win and he has to survive the aftermath of Republican failure. Levin is attacking the man with the highest ratings in cable--nevermind the radio show. I would so love to think that they could maul each other right off the air, but this is all about increasing ratings for each other.

They're all home spanking the monkey with the latest sarah palin photos.

An interesting social impact of this economic crisis is how it seems to be destroying the "unity" among conservatives.

Before, and correct me if I'm wrong, they mostly agreed that deregulation was good and that the market will run itself properly all on its own. In short, they pretty much agreed that Laissez-Faire capitalism was the way to run the economy.

This financial crisis is appearing to be a wedge, fracturing the Republican party into pieces.

I wonder what will come of this...

O'Reilly....defending Clinton....blaming Bush....my brain....can't handle.. paradox......AAAAARRRRGH!!!!!!!

All across America heads have exploded.

for once, I do agree with BillO the clown. THIS IS BUSH'S FAULT
now back to reality

they should do a celebrity boxing thing for charity

If it means one 'celebrity' (to wit, Billo) boxing a commoner, sign me up. I'll sign any waiver.

bonus feature,

What right wing radio talk show hosts do best: Scream "idiots" at each other.

Ain't it great. When it suits their purposes the right-wing will tout the accomplishments of those intellectual elitists from those (spit, spit) IVY LEAGUE schools. Regardless of how anyone feels about the 'Big Bend Over Bailout', this guy's rant furthers the belief that right-wing radio is full of a bunch of egotistical blowhards, whose greatest thrill in life is the sound of their own voice.

The sky is so many colors of crazy in Bizarro World.

They're probably flummoxed at Billo trying to sound like a liberal.

For my part, I just see Oreilly's buddies circling the drain and fuckhead coward that he is, he's running over to us and saying, "Hey! We really fooled them thar Repugs, eh??? I was with you all the time! You knew that! Yeah!!! Right?? ...uh...right...? ...guys?"

Of course, he'll be back on track tomorrow, railing against "pinhead" liberals, but on this matter, oh golly he is TOTALLY LIBERAL, sheah-right??

Egad, how sickening. He spends every day of his miserable, black-hearted life propping these people up and NOW he is going to take them to task, NOW when it is so obvious that these people have probably broken the country, NOW even though everyone knows that he has consistently backed the wrong horse? Puh-LEEEEASE.

Sorry to break Godwin's Law AGAIN, but this is so much like Berlin in the last days of Hitler.

it's like a tape worm feeding on itself. Absolutely brilliant!

Keep at it, Boys. Maybe the sheep will finally wake up.

Sounds like their only audience is each other.

What do you expect from someone who served as chief of staff to U.S. Attorney General Edwin Meese?

Some accomplishment.

But in the end, I actually dislike the radio guys more than the TV guys. The television people create a spectacle, which is amusing to watch. The radio people tend to be much more psychologically manipulative.

There is something profoundly insurgent about radio... it's at once isolating but uniting. I think it exemplifies the psychology of the "silent majority"... which is neither silent nor a majority. Talk radio listenters tend to feel much more paranoid than television viewers. The hosts seem more megalomaniacal. And together, they are much more dangerous.

I have problems with cable "news" programs, too. But I do think that the potential for violence is much stronger among talk radio listeners than TV talkers. TV talkers seem small and comical. The radio blowhards have to project so much more into their voice, that they become hideous and abominable.

Oh.My.God

I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone.

Even though I loathe Billo, an important truth came out of his mouth with this one (barf). These million dollar con artists (Limbaugh, Coulter, Savage, Hannity, Billo, etc) care nothing about their audience. We progressives already know this. But we should rejoice because maybe, just maybe, his rant will cause some poor talk radio listener/dittohead to reexamine his or her plight and realize that these snake oil salesmen have done nothing but exacerbate the sorry state of affairs in this country, and lined thier greasy pockets in the process.

Something is telling me that Keith O will be in rare form tonight!!!!

The radio persona was the one saying "ok, lets just pull out of San Fransisco and tell the terrorists they can blow up Coit Tower" or some such nonsense as I recall.
And his defense when Barney Frank called him on it on his tv show was "I DID NOT SAY IT HERE". Barney believed that he said it on his tv show, incorrectly.

Offtopic.. but just a report from across the pond.. seems European press (both "old" and "new" Europe, Cheney) seems to be pretty much all declaring the demise of laissez-faire economics.

Dutch NRC Handelsblad declares history has been written as "no one can longer claim that unlimited free trade will automatically lead to a better world", and that the summer of 2008 will be remembered for the demise of the 20th century's last political ideology.

Postimees, in Estonia, points out that free market economy would be perfect if people were completely rational and only made rational choices. But people aren't rational. (There's some sweet irony: Hearing an argument so similar to the one so often leveled at Communism. And coming from a former Soviet state, no less!)

Funny, I was just sitting here thinking just like Paris in the last days of the Vichy government. God, I wish I'd been there for that. I hear they were using Nazi bureaucrats for target practice.

God, I can't wait to see how Colbert treats this

Sounds to me like Bill is suddenly noticing that the times they are-a changin'...and so he's now railing against the gang of rightwing blabbers that he's long been part of, hoping that people will forget the b.s. he's tossed around when he needs to appeal to a more progressive audience to maintain his big income.

A big income is fine for him, of course. It's those other guys who don't deserve it. Riiiiight....

This Mark Levin fellow sounds like a real piece of work. He actually admires the Vulgar Pigboy ...

A conservative circular firing squad!

Ready, aim ... blast away, losers!

LMAO..

I cannot believe that I both hate these two freaks and disagree with them almost constantly... Bill Orielly had a couple of good points.. and so did he.. can't fail to recognize the truth when its the truth.. even if it is swimming in sewage..

However ..

The rats are eating each other...

muahahaa

Glad Levin spoke this on the air; O'Reilly is just a sycophant to his rating NO. 1 on Fox News.....would love to have Keith Olbermann (the mouth) take on the the Other mouth....) frankly cannot tolerate either of them....interesting that those same people congregate on the exact same time slot....Keith O, always names Bill O...(that's about as close as the coward will name him.....and Bill O. just cowars and mentions NOTHING, like Col. Klink....they both make a ton of money....Don't know who is worse....(I'm sure Olbermann is)....

levin is bagging on loofa boy's ratings? he should look at his own, which are a total joke

this guy sucks rush and hannity's dicks daily

oh, and i think all these wingnut talkers should be fearful for their jobs

economy collapses, there is no money coming from advertisers...no money, no jobs on radio

all am stations go back to playing records

not one of these guys has the skills to get a real job

well, hannity could go back to construction, but then he would have to fight an illegal for a spot

I made a copy of this and I'm going to play it all day Christmas day. It doesn't get much better than this.

If all these right-wing talking heads killed each other, our country and the entire world would be a lot better off.

I missed a "yet and agree with them on a few points"

I just could not connect them ... in the same post..

I do have my limits.

This is hilarious. The right is coming apart at the seams

I love it

This guy is also a blowhard racist bigot.

Good to see them feuding.

So true. What's troubling is the complete inability on the part of the so-called "media"...and by extension the flock of sheep they feed misinformation to...to learn from history.

You can be sure these greedmeisters will go back to "me-first" capitalism when the economy sorts itself out.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Oh yeah, I hate both of them. If Mussolini turned on Hitler, would you take sides?

I am sure I remember you and I talking about this many years ago...

Never forget...

Consciousness always wins...

always!..

Levin makes me chuckle....he's nothing but a half-pint toadie who sucks up to a dim-wit bully...His entire career is built on playing "Grover Dill" to Hannity's "Scott Farcas".

What a noodge...He has a face custom-made for radio, and a voice that is perfect for peeling barnacles off the hull of a garbage scow.

As much of a train wreck as Levin is, it sickens me to think that there are people out there who lap up his poisonous koolaid.

I can think of few people more un-american than Levin and Hannity.

In 2004, my husband was volunteering for Media Matters, and listening to Levin's show every day. I heard a few one- or two-minute bits, and promptly declared my other half a candidate for sainthood. Levin's voice alone is like nails on a chalkboard, never mind what he's actually saying.

I'm a little surprised at BillO's remarks, but am reminded of the saying, "Even a broken clock has the correct time twice a day." Guess this is BillO's broken clock moment.

And he and Levin are turning on each other like a couple of rabid weasels. I couldn't be happier.

A couple of right-wingers having a pissing contest over who's the bigger friend of the "little guy".

Sorry...not interested.

My favorite part..."he's a moron, he is Ted Baxter. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

(grin) The wheels are falling off the bus, and all these fools can do is cue up in a line to fight over who gets to throw who underneath first!

Happy Happy Joy Joy, Happy Happy Joy!

I caught Hannity today saying that conservitivism is in the process of being "driven into exile". It doesn't get much better than they are so frightened that they start to feed on their own!

All I can say is, Pop some popcorn and pull up a chair...a month until election day, and this is gonna be entertaining!

Excellent. I guess the circular firing squad had time to reload.

It's great when they start to eat their own...

Yecchh. Coupla overflowing toilets yelling at each other.

No thanks.

Just makes me all the happier to be Canadian.

Seems like a Clash Of schoolyard bullies to me. I hope they both get their noses bloodied.
