It's okay to like somebody, but you don't have to vote for him.

McCain in the membrane
Discard your idols. You might be surprised to discover yourself.
McSongbirds is suspending the campaign again. He's off in search of the ring.

Dave Leip's Atlas of US Presidential Elections
Why is it so hard for people to vote in this country? Is it the Tuesday (any day in the work week seems problematic) issue? This is a relic of a bygone era, let's make voting happen on Saturday AND Sunday. And I don't trust mail-in ballots, if you get caged there isn't a good way to know if your vote counted. Paper ballots are a must! Hell, I get a receipt from the gas station I should get one when I vote! Of course the thugs think paying for gas is more important than casting a vote.
I love my grandpa. But I'd never elect him president.
I saw this earlier today, it was hilarious!
Stewart/Colbert 08 indeed.
ontheleftcoast @ 6:
All the elections I've voted in use paper ballots, at stations that are a nice walk away. It's still old-fashioned here in Canada, but it gets the job done.
Take nothing for granted. Always check to see if you are registered before you vote.
gempei @ 9:
And all the better for it, I say. Hell, even Quebec uses the same system and they don't even want to be PART of Canada 50% of the time! What's with you Americans and the myriad of voting procedures? States' rights be damned, it's a FEDERAL election, there should be a singular format. You want to vote for county dog catcher by dropping marbles into fishbowls (or what-the-fuck-ever) go ahead but not the PRESIDENT. For a country that calls itself the "United" States of America, you guys seem to have an inordinate amount of trouble getting on the same page...
This election my vote will be mail-in. I'm not happy with that, but it's better than the past 4+ years where I've had to use a touch screen system that changes my votes.
"I wanted my first time to be special.... Dukakis." LOL
This was one of the funnier skits I've seen from Colbert. It even had my roommate laughing and paying attention - which is certainly a first for her.
ontheleftcoast @ 6:
Some people won't vote because they have morals and will not ignore the fact that the only tool that the people that they would be voting for have is the threat of murder. It's called personal responsibility.
Absolutely hysterical. Best thing Colbert's done in weeks.
lmao John McCain seal of approval at the end
George Will still has a job?
BTW, I would "vote" the hell out of that red head.
-damn that felt good.
