The more Donald Trump opens his mouth, the more I wish the pits of hell would open up and swallow him on the spot. Today's dogwhistle comes in the context of how he would conduct himself differently when it comes to shutting down the government.

Trump contends, incorrectly, that history will remember "Barack Hussein Obama" as the one who shut down the government, despite the fact that the reasons for a government shutdown would come from the Congress.

For Trump, it's all just a big poker game. Screw the people affected.

"They're horrible poker players. Horrible," the Republican presidential front-runner lamented.

"They" refers to the Republican leaders when John Boehner was in power. But Trump was just getting warmed up.

"By the way, in 50 years from now, nobody is going to know about Boehner or Ryan or any of these guys if the government closes for a little while," Trump predicted. "They're going to know about Barack Hussein Obama. That's who they're going to know about. That's who they're going to know about."

Here's a quiz for Trump. Who shut down the government when Bill Clinton was President?

History remembers it. I'll bet you do, too. Republicans paid a political price for that shutdown, back then. Today, not so much. But still, we all know who shut it down.

Donald John Trump doesn't have a real grasp of reality, but that's not the point when it comes to him. It's all about the dogwhistle politics and fascistic attitudes.
