I actually have no problem with someone selling a lock of David Bowie's hair. Wendy Farrier "cut samples of Bowie’s hair in 1983 in order to match the wig atop his wax dummy at Madame Tussauds,"-- she didn't steal it and was the rightful owner of the lock of hair. Furthermore, she's donating the money she's making to an animal charity.

And great that she got almost twenty thousand dollars for it at auction.

But when you think the bottom 20% of Americans make about the same per year as the cost of that hair? Wow.
