Fox News regular and Donald Trump supporter, Sheriff David Clarke, just had an inmate die of thirst in one of his jail cells. The death has been ruled a homicide.

Sadly, this latest death is one of many who have died under Clarke, who spends so much time on Fox News and jet-setting around the world for conservative causes that you have to wonder when he actually does the job he's paid by taxpayers to do.

From The Huffington Post:

Terrill Thomas, 38, was found dead in a Milwaukee County Jail cell on April 24, nine days after being arrested in connection with a shooting. Other inmates heard Thomas beg for water in the days before he died, the Journal Sentinel reported in July.

[…]

Fellow inmates told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel corrections officers shut off the water in Thomas’ cell for the six days before his April 24 death. The jail officers refused the inmates’ warnings that Thomas was sick and in dire need of drinking water, the inmates said.

[…]

[Erik J. Heipt, a lawyer for the Thomas family] said he has received calls from other former inmates of the Milwaukee County Jail who said the water to their cells had been cut off, too. In fact, another inmate, Antonio Cowser, died in 2011 after water to his cell was turned off.

A New York Daily News article reveals that Thomas’ is far from the only disturbing death in a Clarke-run jail:

10 inmates died in the sheriff’s office’s custody between 2008 and 2012, a Journal Sentinel investigation found in 2014. One man died after his water was cut off, another man committed suicide after not receiving his antidepressant medication and a woman suffering from chest pains never received any treatment.

No staff members faced charges, and just two corrections officers received discipline in those deaths, according to the Journal Sentinel.

None of this should be much of a surprise. Clarke, who has predicted Black Lives Matter activists will join ISIS, has repeatedly suggested police and/or Trump supporters should become violent with anti-Trump protesters – with Fox’s tacit approval.

Yesterday, Trump boasted that he spoke to "the best people in law enforcement" about the terror plot in New York and New Jersey over the weekend. Think Clarke was one of what Trump thinks is "the best?" Clarke spoke at the Republican National Convention in July.

Watch Clarke lament that the police didn't "show up in force with a message to these punks we are ready to deliver force" after an anti-Trump demonstration in Albuquerque turned violent, in May, 2016.
