The world has gone wild!

Bauer interrogating and torturing Santa, now this. I hope very few children have to see either one.

I mean, good grief... I'm a grown woman, but even I reacted to this and that with some horror.

I don’t believe in Jesus and this is just silly. How could an imaginary character possibly kill Santa? Besides, everyone knows Santa is immune to bullets – how else could he safely eat cookies and milk off the table in the middle of the night in the South? Geez…

I do like the point the man made about having a sense of humor. He's right.

personally, I think he's saving the parents the moral turpitude of bribing and lying to their kids. this is a great opportunity to end the routine of lying to and bribing children.

People should focus on the real meaning of Christmas, and the Holy Trinity from which it originates:

Santa Claus – Kris Kringle – St. Nicolas

And remember the single commandment: Be nice, not naughty.

Fun time ends around kindergarten, when we start being brainwashed socialized, so what the heck. I used to look for sleigh tracks in the snow. It was exciting. Lots of time for "reality" later on.

Andrea Mitchell reported on Rachel Maddow's show that Obama's staff kept trying to arrange a second meeting with China's Wen but were told he was already at the airport leaving. Presumably several other leaders were "at the airport and leaving."

But by some accident Obama discovered Wen with Brazil's Lula and India's Singh and several others meeting at the conference center. They were pissed he'd discovered their meeting, but he evidently extracted a statement they all would sign.

That was the meeting where Gibbs insisted the American media be allowed while the Chinese officials insisted they be excluded.

The Business Lobby In Copenhagen (VIDEO)

They are in Copenhagen in force this week, making their case, but they're also looking well beyond the current talks. If the agenda of the various BINGOs on climate change seems clear, their strategy can be harder to discern. And the results of their efforts are often intangible. In other words, this is not lobbying as it is commonly understood. "What we do here is we loiter," said John Scowcroft of the European Union of the Electricity Industry. "It's loitering with intent."

Nick Campbell, a chemist and lobbyist for French chemical company Arkema, who also represents thousands of companies for the International Chamber of Commerce has been attending the U.N. climate talks since 1991. But he said he saves his actual lobbying for the national and regional level, including at the European Union in Brussels. "As a BINGO, you can have very little effect at these meetings," he explained in October at a U.N. climate talk that proceeded Copenhagen. "The only way you really get leverage is if you can convince a delegation at home that it's in their interest to have their instructions say this or that."

As I recall the story from my History of Religion classes, there was a major split somewhere in the Indus Valley in NorthWest India approximately 4000 years ago between those who embraced life as the manifestation of the Divine and those who "reviled the flesh."

The Life Lovers spread to the south and east, and became the life affirming Hindu culture.

The Haters spread to the north and west.

As long as this bill includes the individual mandate to buy insurance from big corporations, I am against it. We are being sold out once more by our government. And the lucky recipients are again huge corporations whom are already rich. This bill won't significantly reduce our premiums. It won't significantly improve our coverage. But it will significantly increase our expenditures, under penalty of law!
When I voted for "Change", this is not what I had in mind. My fault, though. I should have insisted on something more specific and in writing.
Instead I got George Bush's 3rd term.

edit: Who knows what Bush put in all those signing statements? We've never heard a thing about them or their contents. The President might -now- almost operate under a shadow, or parallel, constitution. The biggest threat to power is not from abroad, or "terrorists", but if the American people knew what was actually going on. Know what I'm saying? You wouldn't tolerate it: it's that bad.
