Meghan McCain to Cheney, Rove: Go Away

Meghan McCain co-hosted The View today and in the process, caused the explosion of wingnut heads everywhere by using a web ad put out by the Democratic Party to tell Karl Rove and Dick Cheney "You had eight years - go away."

From Meghan McCain's The View appearance today:

Here's the DNC video to which Meghan McCain is referring in the video.

Awesome, no?

political child's opinion. Meghan, go away yourself, and take the other politician's children with you. Go create a blog where you can discuss the hottest clothes, and your fingernail polish, and the latest trends.

I like the DNC ad. Meghan's comment was pithy. (CC: I don't think it matters if she is a "political child", her message is accurate.)

"If the US government enforced its banking laws like it did its park regulations, we wouldn't be
in this damn park in the first place." OCCUPY.!!

that if she wasn't in agreement with the Democratic side though.

Time to throw the kid under the bus!

So does that include her father too? John McCain is about as "old blood" as old blood can get!

never had a problem before

now every single one plays like shit

its really too bad that meaghan is a repug

i would do her

Elisa's picture

.....I'm sure she'd be thrilled. I love seeing guys all over the internet saying "I'd do her" in reference to one woman or another, when chances are, the woman in question would react with something along the lines of: "Blecccchhhhhh!"

I am glad to see Meghan show some intelligence and logic and discernment .... I want there to be a viable Republican party like the days of old ...pre-Reagan days

besides anyone that draws the wrath of Ann Coulter has my affection....

I hope Meghan does represent the face of a new Republican party ... I hope she doesn't change but instead continues to show intelligence and fairness

Uncle Joe Mccarthy's picture

allowed the witch of the north to use wingnut talking points to paint obama as a terrorist

sorry...i aint buying it

the days of the good republican are long gone

the whole bunch...and thats 50 percent of america, are rotten to the core

and that includes my friends and aquaintances

they all make me sick

this is nothing more that these jackals eating their own while their ship is sinking.

I'd have a bit of sympathy for this lady, if her dad and his buddies hadn't taken all of us down with them. The GOP has f*cked this country beyond recognition, any one trying to save face from that team has nothing that interests me to hear.

If anything, I hope this is their implosion, I would hate to find out this could have any sort of positive impact on the GOP.

You expected her to go against her own father during the campaign? She's trying to take her party back from the bigots, racists, homophobes, religious nuts and the hopelessly corrupt BushCo cronies. For this she should be commended not ridiculed. There are far more in her party worthy of ridicule than Megan....her father and her father's prior running mate being two of them

The Cheneys are into swinging. Who want anything to with his fat ass or her wrinkled sagging breast?

she's kind of annoying, but she's right.

have Meghan McCain replace Elizabeth Hasselhack as the "Republican voice" on The View!

She's just as pretty (well, almost) and WAYYY more reasonable and intelligent.

I like Meghan McCain more by the day, even if I don't agree with ALL of her politics!

scruzman's picture

really, 'ya know, smart, 'ya know. And she's kewl too.

Meghan speaks her mind. She's got brains, unlike that little twit Hasselback.

Great DNC video. The ragtime music is a perfect touch.

Clearly our standards are quite disparate.

This is lady is a complete idiot, probably not a monumental idiot like the rest of her party, but an idiot none the less. I'd hardly call that an improvement. The shiniest part of fecal matter is still that: sh*t.

I have no interest in listening what this lady has to say. I don't care to endure another over privileged kid trying to get a career as yet another leach. She has no track record, she has no insight, she has no formation, and she has none of my respect. She can go away as far as I am concerned.

calgarylady's picture

My point is that it's fun to see the repubs turning on themselves. Meghan dishes it out with style. I find it refreshing and amusing.

...

Right on!

And would somebody please tell me what the ever-loving FUCK Elizabeth Hasselbitch's qualifications are to speak on anything at all?

Sorry--both of 'em are Nazis. To hell with them.

all the shuffling is done and familiar faces show up where you least expected them to park. Real crazy.

Meghan McCain is not an attention seeker now is she, or just very clever?

Maybe she wants to show off her hair, nails, and upper body....and has found a neat way to do so....So, don't laugh at her just yet...she may be more intelligent in the career sense than meets the eye....I don't mind listening to the young lady.

Someone needed to say it - and a republican said it - very cool.

She's right. They've had more than eight years though. Doesn't Cheney come from the Nixon administration?

I imagine they'll try to get the old fart to shut her up. I also imagine he'll tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine.

Papa showed what he is made of and who he really is when he embraced Bush. He'd throw Megan to the wolves if he thought he had something to gain. It's all about him. His kids were never meant to be anything but stage props.

I really hate that 'Southern California' Valley Girl accent or what ever you call it. I don't know if Megan has any brains or not because when she opens her mouth I just cringe. She sounds stupid whether she is or not.

What is wrong with commenters on thsi site? Someone says something you ought to agree with and you just shi# all over her with ad hominem attacks. What a bunch of whining losers you sound like. Save the hate for those who deserve it like Hannity, Beck, Cheney, et alia.

tiger313's picture

I would imagine she called in sick because she couldn't go toe to toe with Megan? The joy of it all.

Rove and Cheney AND Bush should go away.We have a new administration now. They are the ones who should be receiving the criticism.I dislike Roosevelt's pioneering socialist agenda, but it hardly serves any purpose to continue hyperventilating about someone who is out of power the way the socialists continue to hyperventilate about the previous administration. The socialists have all the marbles now.Full majority power. They need hardly concern themselves with people who can neither help nor harm their agenda.Dick Cheney is now just one more unemployed politician.

Yup,Rove,Cheney, and Bush should go away..if only the leftists would let them.

What moronic claptrap

"I would do her" and "she's just as pretty as Elisabeth Hasselbeck"??!!

Gentlemen (and I use the term loosely) you sound just as bad as the freepers.

nom de plume's picture

I agree with the DNC's point - those Repugs were throughly rejected in the last election and should fade to obscurity - however, McCain seems more than self-serving here. SHE wants to be the face of the new GOP.

And truthfully, if (and when) some Republican leader-wanna-be suggests that Bill Clinton and Al Gore "go away" because they "had their 8 years" Democrats and progressives don't exactly cheer.
