For eight years Fox was all about keeping the country safe from "terrorist". When was the last time you heard anything like that from Beck? The new fear factor for fox is the President. Forget the threat of terrorism and now think about the threat of a black President. That's their message now.

How do you stop hate speech, which spreads misinformation through the population, incites violent dissension and encourages seditious behavior while at the same time preserving our Constitutional Right to responsible and intelligent free speech and expression? How does the current Administration and those after, deal with this obviously growing problem, courtesy of the GOP, without crapping all over The Constitution like the Bush Administration did? No wonder our system of Government is still referred to as the 'great experiment' even after 233 years.

I've just recently finished reading the Turner Diaries, which - as reprehensible as it is - I encourage all progressives to do. You'll find that the book has had a terrifying level of influence on conservative rhetoric - even in the mainstream - in the last 20 years or so.

What's germane here is that Glen Beck is describing more or less exactly what happens in beginning of the book: an out-of-control liberal government, obsessed with "equality" enlists black thugs to terrify or beat the helpless white folk into submission.

This is the book that inspired Timothy McVeigh and two generations of American Nazis (like, actual Nazis. Not the fake ones that want universal health care). If it weren't so unfashionable, I'm willing to bet Beck would be teaching us all how the Jews actually behind it.

It's worth pointing out to anyone and everyone that Beck and others like him are lifting ideas from one of the most vile and violent books ever written in English.
