And all those others who are being detained indefinitely, tortured, starved, or killed by this War of Terror we find ourselves in.

Amen.

In looking down the list of U.S. military deaths in the Middle East, I've been struck many times by the preponderance of non-commissioned and commissioned officers over privates, marines, seamen, etc. Anyone know the statistics? Understand the reason?

Comrade Rutherford's picture

Tristan came home today. Hundreds of people lined Rt 215 and Rt 15 from Cabot, through Walden and into Hardwick. He was in a motorcade of state and local police and fire departments and a veteran's motorcycle group that escorted him from the airport in Burlington all the way to Hardwick.

"Once at Walden the local Fire Department and Rescue Squad, joined the rear of the assemblage, to be met later by Hardwick’s Fire Department and together all drove under a canopy of the United States Flag; held aloft by the ladder trucks in the town square. Dozens of neighbors had assembled in the square and hardly a dry eye could be seen.

One couldn’t help but be moved by the out-pouring of respect for this young man and the support offered his family. It was awesome."
