When I was in college Eric Andersen was one of my favorite folk singers. I used to go see him play in Greenwich Village and I was lucky enough to be able to hire him to play at my school. In recent years we reconnected and I caught a show not long ago at McCabe's near John's house. He was really excellent and it reminded me to do a clip for "Thirsty Boots" or "Violets of Dawn," my two favorite songs of his. But, for some reason, I have people leaving and closing the door behind them lately. So... here's another really good early Eric Andersen song, dedicated to John Shadegg, who I left out of the video for the sake of aesthetics.
