Two of the Late Night Music Clubs favorite people got married-- Lou Reed and his long time partner, Laurie Anderson made it official in Colorado last month. Everyone here at C&L wishes them lots of happiness and love.

"Gentle Rain" was more of a demo Lou put together than a bona fide song. He put it together in the course of a morning when Reprise was coming up with a soundtrack to a Superman movie. But then a Batman movie came out and flopped so Warners shelved the Superman film. Meanwhile when a charity record asked for a Lou Reed song to benefit pre-school education, Lou and Laurie offered "Gentle Rain." It's pretty rare and, as far as I know, only available on Mary Had a Little Amp, which also features songs by R.E.M., Dixie Chicks, Bonnie Raitt, Moby, Madonna, Maroon 5, the Blue Man Group, etc.
