After cutting off Elijah Cummings‘ mike to silence his criticism of the way he was conducting his witch hunt on Wednesday Darrell Issa told his hometown newspaper, the U-T San Diego, in a telephone interview on Thursday that he had apologized to Cummings for the incident.
“Mr. Cummings is a member of Congress who works very hard for his constituents,” he said. “As chairman, I should have been much more sensitive to the mood of what was going on,” he said, “and I take responsibility.”
