Fox News business analyst Ben Stein weighed in on the Michael Brown shooting on NewsmaxTV with his very own nauseating take on the notion of Brown being "unarmed." Fox News recently tried to say that by labeling Michael an "unarmed" teenager, the librul media was slanting the story.
I think we will hear more about the Sonny Liston defense from here on in.
In an interview with Newsmax’s Steve Malzberg yesterday, conservative pundit Ben Stein insisted that Michael Brown, the black teenager who was shot to death by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, “wasn’t unarmed” because he was “armed with his incredibly strong, scary self.”
“The idea of calling this poor man ‘unarmed’ when he was six-foot-four, 300 pounds, full of muscles, apparently — from what I read in the New York Times — on marijuana, to call him unarmed is like calling Sonny Liston unarmed or Cassius Clay unarmed,” Stein said.
Have you heard that Michael Brown had been the boxing heavyweight champion of the world since he was sixteen and had just knocked out Cain Velasquez for the belt in UFC 175? neither did I. Not every big man can be compared to Sonny Liston. See, the Sonny Liston defense gives the police the right to shoot you dead if you are big and perceived to be scary looking in their opinion. Soon they will have the Little Man's defense next. You know those little guys can just sneak up on you without making much noise and stick a knife under your ribcage before you knew what hit ya!
I also imagine Stein has dabbled in marijuana sometime in his past, but if he hasn't then let's just say that weed doesn't make you uncontrollably violent or act irrationally insane and want to attack the police when they have you guns and you have fists. It makes you wanna sit in front of the boob tube, watching Little House on the Prairie, eating everything in sight.
