Stephen Colbert did a very fine job of taking both Donald Trump and Fox's favorite wingnut Dr. Ben Carson to task for their fearmongering over the Ebola virus this Thursday.

For anyone who needs a reminder or just missed it earlier this week, Trump told the viewers over at Fox that those Ebola-infected doctors should not be allowed to be treated here in the United States, and they should "suffer the consequences" for their good work by being allowed to die overseas.

And then you've got Faux "news" and their recent favorite Dr. Ben Carson, and his claim that someone might actually pay $1 million for some Ebola-tainted urine.

Colbert did an excellent job of taking that apart by trying to outdo Carson for most outlandish Ebola panic:

On last night’s episode of The Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert lampooned mainstream media coverage of the Ebola “outbreak” in America.

“Folks,” he began, “I’m so happy you’re joining us. We tape the show at 7 o’clock, so by the time you’re seeing this — you’re probably dead.”

“Because this week the Ebola outbreak that’s been ravaging West Africa finally spread to West West Africa — America,” he said before playing a montage of sensationalistic CNN and Fox News coverage of the arrival of two American aide workers stricken with Ebola in Atlanta.

“Yes,” he yelled, “we’re all afraid!”
