I have no idea where to even start with this song. It's hands-down one of the most original things I've heard in a long while. It's funk, it's psychedelic rock, it's gagaku, it's kumi-daiko, and so much more. I love traditional Japanese music and I love funk, which is probably why I'm really obsessed with this album. If you are looking for something fresh and original, Benzaiten by Osamu Kitajima is as original as it gets. Instruments ranging from clavinet to fue come together in musical and instrumental harmony. It's not every day that something like this comes around.
