This video is shocking: yesterday, open carry extremists walked through Abilene, Texas, with AR-15s on their backs and antagonized police officers by yelling and swearing at them for questioning their motives. When the new law that expands open carry to include handguns goes into effect in Texas on Jan. 1, law enforcement, businesses and the general public will have to contend with hostile and belligerent open carry extremists. Is this YOUR America? It's not ours.

Moms Demand Action posted this video of two Open Carry activists in Abilene taking on local police officers who asked them to step off the private property of a homeowner who objected to them walking the streets with their AR-15s on their back.

The first thing that stands out is that they're really upset that one of the police officers also has an AR-15.

The second thing that stands out is that they're not being gunned down in broad daylight even while getting in the cops' face.

I cannot imagine a similar encounter with Black or Hispanic open carry fanatics that would go the same way. There would be a tragedy rather than a video, I'm sure.

It's not the one I want, but it's the one I've got, sadly enough. And the rhetoric gets worse and worse.

Gun Owners of America's Larry Pratt stepped up today with more nonsense, this time saying that "the Second Amendment was designed for people like this President and Democrats who want to take away our rights."

These gun nuts are obnoxious and dangerous.
