I really do think Ben Carson has sociopathic tendencies. Maybe that's a prerequisite for becoming a surgeon, but as far as his belief systems are concerned, he's devoid of any empathy. Dr. Carson put out the idea that if you're being attacked by a mass shooter, you should commit suicide by charging the gunman. Be John Wayne, goddammit! Should America raise the debt ceiling and avoid defaulting on our financial obligations? Absolutely not because there are so many government agencies we could eliminate easily which would not require us to raise the debt limit. See, it's so easy.
Gun control has surfaced again with another mass shooting in Oregon so Ben Carson not only attacks President Obama for "politicizing" it, but has brought in the holocaust to prove some sick point.
I've known people like this, though they usually don't decide to run for president. They go through life, doing their thing, and remain blissfully unaware of basically everything else.
CNN’s Wolf Blitzer asked him: “Just clarify, if there had been no gun control laws in Europe at that time, would six million Jews have been slaughtered?”
Carson replied: “I think the likelihood of Hitler being able to accomplish his goals would have been greatly diminished if the people had been armed … I’m telling you that there is a reason that these dictatorial people take the guns first.”
If only those silly Jews were packing!
Aside from the general offensiveness of invoking the holocaust in this way, no a few rifles and pistols are not any protection against state tyranny. The state always has more and bigger guns.
This is complete and utter nonsense and for a man running for the presidency, this should disqualify him as somebody that's serious. Carson always blames the media for mischaracterizing what he says, but he can't deny this. What reality does he live in?
