I was gonna tell the story about my old hippie uncle and how he always showed up at our house early every Thanksgiving, He said he was there to help with the cooking. He was really just there for the eating and drinking. I was going to tell you all around a little before noon each Thanksgiving he would ask where the radio was.

"They'll be playing "Alice's Restaurant: at noon. They only play it once a year, man."

My uncle passed away a few years ago. I can't recall the last time, save for a college, community or public station, I heard the song at noon or any other part of Thanksgiving Day on the radio since the early 90's.

It was all over my social media feeds this morning so it's instantaneous that people can get their Arlo fix. There an open thread here on Crooks and Liars about it. I am sure we all got to hear it today.

Instead, let's hear how Ernest Tubb is dealing with thankfulness.

What are you listening to tonight?
