President Obama, in a passionate moment, discussed Joe Biden and our nation's innovative nature and hoped we could cure cancer once and for all.
January 12, 2016

I think most everyone in America has had either a family member, or a loved one struggle with the horrors of cancer. I have had many this past year.

My friend Kevin Drum, just wrote an incredible article discussing his own bout with cancer and how it's affected his family and the will to live through it all and die with dignity.

During his 2016 SOTU address, President Obama discussed our innovative nature and he announced that he's putting Vice President Joe Biden in charge of Mission Control, a new national effort to cure cancer once and for all:

Obama: I'm putting Joe in charge of mission control. For the loved ones we’ve all lost, for the family, we can still save, let’s make America the country that cures cancer once and for all.
