Fox News' Megyn Kelly observed that the GOP candidates challenging Trump were too frightened of him to actually try to dent his lead during last night's CNN debate.

Megyn Kelly and her panel on Fox News Thursday night discussed the violent incident that happened at a Trump rally and asked if Donald's words helped to inspire the incident, but then the focus shifted to the CNN GOP Debate and when the question came up by Jake Tapper about said incident, they were shocked that Cruz and Roboto didn't do more for themselves on this issue.

Chris Stirewalt, Fox News digital politics editor, said that he was stunned and shocked that Cruz and Rubio both whiffed on the question and even Kasich refused to take it up either. "Instead of saying Donald Trump has created an atmosphere in which he incites people to greater rage...that those guys didn't take Trump to task on that was reflective of an overall weak performance on everybody's part when it came to holding Trump to account."

Megyn Kelly made an astute observation..."in a way, that embodied why Donald Trump has been so successful. They're scared of him. They're scared of him, they're scared of alienating his supporters and they, it's not, like, OK, so Rubio needed to dial back the personal stuff, he said that. Well, he didn't even engage on policy."

Kurtz responded that "they dialed it back so much that they did absolutely nothing to dent Donald Trump's lead and the clock is ticking very loudly."
