Bloomberg's John Heilemann Unloads On Trump For Promoting Vince Foster Conspiracy Theories

John Heilemann - "You know, one of the things presidents can't do is basically go online, read crazy stuff on the internet, and then repeat it..."

On Thursday, Vince Foster's sister responded to Donald Trump's lunacy of reviving the insane right wing conspiracy theories surrounding her brothers suicide in the pages of the Washington Post: Vince Foster was my brother. Donald Trump should be ashamed.

During today's MSNBC's Morning Joe panel discussion, Bloomberg's John Heilemann also laid into Donald Trump for his Vince Foster behavior by calling it "not presidential" and "unacceptable."

JOE SCARBOROUGH (CO-HOST): John Heilemann, he said it was very fishy, said many people believe that it was a murder. It wasn't like he was asked a question and said "I don't know."

JOHN HEILEMANN: Right. Or, wasn't like he was asked a question and said, "Oh, that was a suicide, tragic event. Let's move on." I mean, the notion that, one of the things that -- there are many things about [Donald] Trump that are not presidential in the traditional sense, but in this way, and you could see this op-ed was going to come. Someone from the family was going to write this, and I'm not surprised it didn't happen, and rightly so is the notion that what's less presidential than "Well, I've heard people say it." You know, one of the things presidents can't do is basically go online, read crazy stuff on the internet, and then repeat it without -- just say, well, I don't know, I read it somewhere. Some people think this. I don't know what I think about it, but you know --

SCARBOROUGH: Like Lee Harvey Oswald.

HEILEMANN: Right. Yes. I mean, that's something no president of any party can or should do, and yet Trump seems to do that all the time. It's not the first time he's done it.

JIM VANDEHEI: I mean, it’s the damndest thing. I mean, and it’s not -- and we just talked, well, it’s not like presidential in the traditional way. Like, it’s not presidential in any way, right?

HEILEMANN: No, unacceptable.
