The Khans are a Gold Star Family who lost their son in a war that was started illegally, and yet they still love the United States and hold our nation in the highest regard. Still, Trump and his sycophants have done the unthinkable: cast aspersions on the family and are feverishly creating suspicion about their real Islamic-intentions that they are really double agents working for the Muslim Brotherhood and Mr. Khizr Khan, Esq. is aiding and abetting terrorists' entry into the U.S. as an immigration lawyer.

Seriously, this is what they are doing. From Media Matters

Roger Stone, a longtime Trump ally and adviser, is promoting smears against fallen U.S. Army Captain Humayun Khan and his family. Stone is claiming that Khizr Khan, Capt. Kahn’s father, is a “Muslim Brotherhood agent” and is promoting an article suggesting Humayun Khan was a double agent working for Al-Qaeda.

Stone’s purported evidence comes from a piece by Theodore Shoebat and Walid Shoebat, who claim that Khizr Khan “is a Muslim Brotherhood agent.” The piece also suggests that Humayun Khan was a double agent for Al-Qaeda:

The highly educated and patriotic attorney, Khizr Khan has been plotting against this country for as long as he possibly could, that's according to the Shoebat post.

Shoebat, the psychotically paranoid 'Christian' website (not Bat Sh*t, which was my first thought) is convinced of their theory because of some pro-Islamic posts about Saudi Arabia that Khizr wrote in the 80's. He was an Arab who wanted the area to prosper via OPEC, therefore he is a terrorist. Bush 43 smooched with these people, but Khan is the bad guy. Get it? From this nutty Shoebat publication:

The Muslim who attacked Donald Trump, Khizr Muazzam Khan, is a Muslim Brotherhood agent, working to bring Muslims into the United States. After reading what we discovered so far, it becomes obvious that Khan wanted to ‘trump’ Trump’s Muslim immigration policy of limiting Muslim immigration into the U.S.

An interest lawyer for Islamic oil companies Khan wrote a paper, called In Defense of OPEC to defend the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), an intergovernmental oil company consisting of mainly Islamic countries.

But more than this, Khan is a promoter of Islamic Sharia Law in the U.S. He was a co-founder of the Journal of Contemporary Issues in Muslim Law (Islamic Sharia). Khan’s fascination with Islamic Sharia stems from his life in Saudi Arabia. During the eighties Khan wrote a paper titled Juristic Classification of Islamic [Sharia] Law.

Shoebat conspiracists have come to the unfounded and idiotic conclusion that his time in Saudi Arabia in the 1980's is irrefutable proof that he is importing terrorists and actively campaigning for Shar'ia Law in the USA.

Again, Khan wrote his Sharia Law supporting work in the eighties while he was in Saudi Arabia, the motherland of Wahhabism. This would never be possible unless Khan clearly had the support of the Saudi Wahhabist religious institution.

Roger Stone tweeted this in support of that very same batsh*t Shoebat insanity.

Lou Dobbs, of course, jumped on the Islamophobic-without-evidence bandwagon.

In case you haven't had your fill of conspiracy nuttiness, here's more of the Stone/Alex Jones interview. It helps to understand how some of your right-wing friends conjure up the insanity we see on Facebook etc.

Stone is actually, still upset that Nixon didn't challenge the findings of the Watergate investigation. He also claims that Hillary has launched a massive campaign to recruit the homeless to vote. SMDH.
