The same day that Rep. Darell Issa was announced as being on Trump's National Security Council, the Washington Post released the infamous 'Grab them by the Pussy' video. His Democratic opponent, Doug Applegate, has been only too happy to use Issa's ties to Trump against him.

It's been that kind of election for Darrell Issa. And it couldn't happen to a more deserving creep. Now he's hoping the voters of the Californias 49th district are dumb enough to fall for his phony mailer tying himself to President Obama, of all people.

Too funny.

...Applegate recently got an assist from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, which has included the race in its “Red to Blue” program targeting districts it believes it can flip. The DCCC put $2.1 million into television ads in the district in early October. The Rothenberg Report, a nonpartisan newsletter that tracks House, Senate, gubernatorial and presidential races, changed the race from a “safe Republican” designation to “Republican favored” earlier this month.

“The DCCC can keep wasting money in our district, but they’re not going to get very far with a flawed candidate like Doug Applegate,” Moore said of the committee’s investment.

Issa’s confidence is beginning to wane. While he’s refused to revoke his endorsement of Trump, he is evidently anxious about being associated with him. New mailers sent out by his campaign showcase Issa’s alliance with Obama to pass legislation that established a bill of rights for survivors of sexual assault.
