It wasn't until later this morning I realized what Joe Scarborough was so mad about. He was mad about this:
Yep, Brian Williams exposed Mark Halperin as a Trump shill (we knew that) and Joe Scarborough, while not crossing the streams by calling out Williams by name, nevertheless went on a full-on meltdown about "the media."
...This is what the media -- they're so busy looking at everybody else. I include myself in this. we're kind of at the center of it. When this election is over, they need to look at just how poorly of a job they did.
Joe Scarborough, we can save you a whole lot of time on that "how poorly the media did" research project. Just run through our archives, starting with the "Morning Joe" tag.
...I saw something last night late [Yes. Confirmed. Williams] that was staggering that somebody [Yes. We know. Halperin.] was attacked because they simply said Donald Trump may have had a slight tiny chance of getting elected ...
Then later in the non-stop poll reading segment, Scarborough got nasty:
Now, in case you have a short attention span, right? In case you're like that dude in Memento and you need to take a Polaroid every five seconds to figure out where you are, take a Polaroid right now and write these words on your wrist. Joe's not saying [Trump winning] is going to happen. Joe's saying it might happen. It could happen. Along with Nate Silver, I think there's a 35% chance that it will happen. Have you taken the Polaroid yet? Have you put it right here? Cause I don't want you to think three minutes from now that anybody here is rooting for Donald Trump because we're not. [His panel tries and fails to rein him in.] Let me finish this exercise. 'Because this is impossible. This will never happen.' God, you people. You need to do your job and be journalists. You're really disgusting.
Scarborough you're confirming the opinion of everyone with ears that you are a Republican bully with a temper problem. You're Malcolm Tucker with a room-temperature IQ and a swear ban, and you have Mark Halperin on your panel as a regular BECAUSE he does exactly what Brian Williams said he does -- "toe the effing line" for Republicans, the end.
See my earlier post for multiple examples of Mark Halperin being a complete shill for Trump. And never forget "Great News for John McCain" because believe me, Joe Scarborough, we never will.
