I can't straight up say that Kelley Stoltz music straddles the fence between 1970's singer/songwriters, the moodier side of 80's new wave (to the point where he's even toured recently with Echo & the Bunnymen as a guitarist) and 90's indie pop quirkiness because I think it would be selling where his songs go short.

His new album Que Aura is loaded with hooks both crackling & obvious as well as subtle to practically hidden. In other words, it's another Kelley Stoltz record that can be absorbed with headphones on as well as it can simply be grooved to coming out of set of speakers.
