Fox News' Shep Smith said Trump was the first president to speak at the 'Value Voters Summit,' which is designated by the SPLC as a 'hate group' for their anti-gay and dangerous homophobic views.
After discussing Trump's Iran speech and executive order on the ACA with John Roberts, Fox New host Shep Smith took a few minutes to discuss Trump speaking at FRC's Value Voters Summit.
Smith said, "President Trump became the first sitting president to speak to the Values Voters Summit."
He continued, "That organization vilifies the LGBT community and declares gays a danger to children. The Southern Poverty Law Center has designated it a hate group."
You won't hear many others, if any on Fox News make sure to correctly label the FRC and their Summit as a hate group.
"What happened there and why did he attend."
Roberts replied, "Well, it seems to be a pretty appreciative crowd."
Trump does need to be lavished with praise at all times.
These supposed religious leaders have been now truly exposed as frauds since they resoundly have supported an admitted sexual offender. And no matter how his past views were, as long as he attacks "the gays," he's their guy.
In Trump's life, he never cared at all about the religious right.
During the RNC convention, he reassured the LGBTQ community, telling them, "People are people to me, and everyone should be protected.” Since he became president, that's all changed.
In 1999, he told Tim Russert on Meet The Press that he even though he was uncertain about gay marriage, he didn't mind gays serving in the military.
He also told Russert, "I'm very pro-choice" and even though he hates hearing debates on abortion, he still believes in choice and would not ban abortion, partial or otherwise.

But today, he was licking the boots of the haters who put him in office, who are apparently just fine and dandy listening to a guy who said this:
Trump: I did try and fuck her. She was married.
FAMILY VALUES. VALUES VOTERS, look!
And this:
Trump: Yeah, that’s her. With the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.
Bush: Whatever you want.
Trump: Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything.
Yes, those fine upstanding white, conservative "evangelical" voters are fine and dandy with that, but heaven forbid they accept a gay person as a person.
