Here are two of my absolute favorite show biz people - if I had to choose two I'd love to just sit and listen to converse all day for their wisdom and experience they'd make the short list. Steve Martin's 76th birthday was yesterday, and that got me looking around at old videos, and this interview with Johnny Carson was one I hadn't seen. Martin was doing the circuit promoting the movie "Parenthood," and it was a rare instance where the host actually got Martin to break character and crack up himself.
Just for fun, here's another where he manages to run circles around the Brits.
Happy 76th, @SteveMartinToGo. On the talk-show circuit, the hosts just tried to hang on.
