I was secretly hoping Republicans would rise to the occasion and at the very least, stop licking Trump's boots after it came to light that he'd improperly appropriated nuclear secrets -- to what end, we can only guess. (This being Trump, I'm thinking secrets for sale.)
But of course they didn't. Despite this info from the New York Times yesterday, they continued to defend him:
Some senior Republicans have been warned by allies of Mr. Trump not to continue to be aggressive in criticizing the Justice Department and the F.B.I. over the matter because it is possible that more damaging information related to the search will become public.
But Fox News went to work, doing what they do to protect the Precious. They attacked his accusers, or tried to change the subject.
But there was one noticable exception:
Jim Jordan still trying desperately to get Trump reelected to give him a pardon:
