Last year, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said that he intends to "eliminate rape" in his state, amid criticism that a new law banning abortions does not include an exception for victims of rape and incest. Well, there are more rapes in Texas than in any other state. Abbott faced off with Beto O'Rourke on Friday night, and the issue of abortion came up again.

Abbott said his alternative to abortion would be programs that provide baby supplies as a token of support. Yes, he said that. Out f*cking loud.

Abbott explained that instead of having an abortion, victims of rape and incest can participate in the state's "alternatives to abortion" program, which provides "baby supplies."

In 2021, the Republican governor said, "Rape is a crime, and Texas will work tirelessly to make sure we eliminate all rapists from the streets of Texas by aggressively going out and arresting them and prosecuting them and getting them off the streets. So goal no. 1 in the state of Texas is to eliminate rape so that no woman, no person, will be a victim of rape."

I'm starting to think he just doesn't give a f*ck about women. Just a hunch. Because he dodged a question about whether he's coordinated at all with cities and states that he's sending migrants to, so he's not pro-life. He just hates women.

Abbott did not allow people from the public to observe the debate. Beto responded:

No wonder they're calling Abbott a "little piss baby."

You can donate to Beto here.

You can call Abbott here to ask him how eliminating rape is going in the rapiest state in the U.S.: 512-463-2000
