For the first time, a toxic waste will be visiting an area where a train carrying toxic waste was derailed. That's right, former President Donald Trump plans to visit East Palestine, Ohio, where a train derailment led to the release of toxic chemicals, even though he may be directly responsible for the derailment because of his administration's reckless rollback of an Obama-era regulation requiring new brake systems on oil trains.

And now, in true Trump form, the one-term loser is taking credit for federal assistance being sent to Ohio.

"Biden and FEMA said they would not be sending federal aid to East Palestine," he wrote on Truth Social. "As soon as I announced that I'm going, he announced a team will go. Hopefully he will also be there. This is good news because we got them to "move." The people of East Palestine need help. I'll see you on Wednesday!"

Biden has been all over this.

"The Biden Administration is mobilizing a robust, multi-agency effort to support the people of East Palestine, Ohio. Since February 3, the Environmental Protection Agency has had personnel on the ground," a Biden official told Fox News Digital. "FEMA is coordinating with the emergency operations center working closely with the Ohio Emergency Management Agency."

President Biden immediately called Gov. Mike DeWine to offer him any assistance. DeWine admitted that he hadn't called Biden back at the time. Oh, and by the way, North Southern donated to DeWine. It took DeWine two weeks to take action.

DeWine had to be prodded into doing the right thing.

Trump is once again taking credit for someone else's work.
