Over the weekend Trump put out a few videos targeted to his Christian Nationalist base.

Apparently the ketchup thrower felt he had to appease much of the MAGA cult, over their fears that he will not support a federal ban on all abortions.

"I will stand proudly in defense of innocent life, just as I did for four very powerful strong years. Because every child born and unborn is a sacred gift from God," Trump said.

Rolling Stone is reporting that privately Trump has been telling Christian leaders they are "getting killed" over the abortion issue, and Republicans risk "losing big" in 2024.

"He has warned the leaders to shift their own messaging, telling them to emphasize “exceptions” to abortion bans, including in cases of rape, incest, or a threat to the life of the mother. In these frank talks, Trump has stressed this is his 2024 plan, saying it’s necessary to prevent Democrats from painting him as an “extremist.”

Since the kangaroo Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, red states have been rushing to pass one extreme anti-abortion bill after another.

The anti-abortion zealots were never going to be appeased that a woman's right to choose went back to the states. They want a full, no-exception abortion ban throughout the USA.

As much as evangelicals support him, this issue is one they will not back down on.

It's why Sen. Graham tried to re-frame the GOP's position as only wanting to ban late-term abortions to hide their far-right Handmaid's Tale views.

Trump is a narcissistic clown who only cares about one person: Donald J Trump.

If any Christian leaders publicly oppose him, he will gleefully toss them into the garbage.
