During a test flight Thursday morning, Elon Musk's most powerful rocket exploded in midair during a test flight in Boca Chica, Texas.
Watching the lift off and flight on the NSF network, it was as if the commentator had a premonition.
"Again, a reminder, this is a test flight. There is always a chance something can go wrong," he said.
Moments later, an explosion took place on the rocket.
SpaceX officials have confirmed that the explosion was intentional, in what is described as an “unplanned disassembly."
Or, like in the movies, SpaceX officials pushed the self-destruct button.
Musk downplayed the failed test flight.
