"Thousands of images and videos on his computer of young children under 12 being sexually abused." For this, Cutler agreed to a plea deal down to four counts and will only serve 9 months in prison, with a further 10 years of being registered as a sex offender. According to the Bangor Daily News, "Eliot Cutler had 142,000 pornographic images and videos of children, including 84,000 depicting children under the age of 12."

Independent Eliot Cutler narrowly lost to vile Republican Paul LePage in 2010 or he could well have become Maine's Governor. He also lost in 2014, although he finished a distant third, but with enough votes to deny Democrat Mike Michaud from beating LePage.

Former Maine gubernatorial candidate Eliot Cutler is pleading guilty to child pornography charges and will go to jail.

The 76-year-old, two-time candidate for the state’s highest office will plead guilty to all four counts against him, according to documents filed in Hancock County Superior Court.

Cutler has a home in the county, in Brooklin, one of two residences Maine State Police raided last year and discovered tens of thousands of images on his computer of young children under 12 being sexually abused.

His arrest warrant stated there were “literally thousands of videos of very young children being sexually abused.”

Cutler will plead guilty to four counts of possession of sexually explicit materials.

His sentence will be four years with all but 9 months suspended, so he will serve up to 9 months in jail, not including any time subtracted for good behavior.
