Yesterday was a massive Fail for the Republican so-called House Speaker.

FAIL: Kevin McCarthy's team knows he is weak, yet they hoped he could get 150 Republican votes. But he couldn't even get THAT.

Worse, more DEMOCRATS voted for the debt deal than Republicans! Humiliating.

As Eric Swalwell noted earlier this week, Kevin has the gavel, but not the job.

How embarrassing for Kevin McCarthy — he struck a deal with President Biden and couldn’t even deliver the votes on his own side to ensure we could vote later tonight to pay America’s bills. Dem votes had to do it for him. He may have title of Speaker but he doesn’t have the job.

But that won't stop Axios and other access media types from calling this a victory lap. Because they know who their boss is and what they have to do for him.
