Trump-era special counsel John Durham's testimony on the FBI's Russia probe so far today isn't the blockbuster that conservatives have been hoping for.
"Our report should not be read to suggest in any way that Russian election interference was not a significant threat," Durham said with a Florida retiree possibly throwing ketchup on his walls. "It was."
House Judiciary Committee ranking member Jerry Nadler (D-NY) asked Durham about his record with the investigation.
"Did it take four years to complete?" he asked.
"Correct," Durham replied.
"Okay, and with all these resources and all these people you were sent to help you investigate the investigators, you only filed three criminal cases," Nadler said. "You only brought two cases to trial, correct?"
"Correct," Durham said.
"And you lost all the cases you brought to trial, correct?" Nadler asked.
"Correct," Durham said again.
At one point, Nadler said, "Four years in untold sums of money, and you still obtained only one conviction."
Rep. Adam Schiff called him out.
Durham got testy with Schiff:
Schiff wasn't playing around:
Ted Lieu? BAM:
Schiff then delivers the kill shot:
