Fox's Will Cain accused Joe Biden of being personally involved in the recent indictment of Donald Trump, and made this threat: "You've opened Pandora's box. So I would imagine you should probably lawyer up."
Fox News Host Tells Biden He 'Should Probably Lawyer Up'
June 12, 2023

The liars on Fox & Friends were on a roll this Sunday with their defense of Donald Trump following his indictment for mishandling of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago. After playing footage of Trump at an event in Columbus the prior evening, where he griped that every time he flies over a blue state, he gets a subpoena, co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy repeated Cain's assertion that what Trump did was just like "a traffic incident having the book thrown at it," before launching into a lie-filled tirade about Hillary Clinton's emails and Joe Biden supposedly taking bribes from Ukraine while he was Vice President:

CAMPOS-DUFFY: To your point, Will, you're right, it is like a traffic incident having the book thrown at it, but also, you cannot look at this, what they're doing to the Trump, without looking at what they didn't do to Hillary Clinton who bleached 30,000 e-mails and said, don't worry, I went through and made sure that those that I deleted were not, you know, classified or not involved with the Clinton Foundation.

I mean, totally bogus stuff there, and then not look at what's happening with Joe Biden at this moment. And which incidents have the most impact on the American people? A sitting president who we now know received at least $10 million in a bribe from the Ukraine. We are now spending gazillions of dollars, I think $120 billion that we've spent so far in a money land laundering scheme, in my opinion.

Never mind that the Biden-Ukraine conspiracy theory has been debunked over and over again, they're not going to stop pushing that lie on Fox... ever, any more than they're going to stop pushing the false equivalence between the way Clinton and Biden handled issues with classified material compared to what Trump did. As The Washington Post reported:

Notably, however, the indictment does not charge Trump with the illegal retention of any of the 197 documents he returned to the archives.

That shows that if Trump had simply returned all the classified documents he had, he probably never would have been charged with any crimes, said Robert Mintz, a former federal prosecutor.

“This is not a case about what documents were taken, it’s about what former president Trump did after the government sought to retrieve those documents,” said Mintz, who noted that willful-retention cases often hinge on how much evidence prosecutors can find that a person deliberately hid material or refused to give it back.

Don't expect to hear those facts discussed on Fox, of course. Campos-Duffy continued her defense of Trump, pretending that the only issue here is whether all of the documents were classified or not, while also completely ignoring how many people were shown the documents to that had no clearance to see them, or who may have had access to them that we don't yet know about, and pretended what happened with Clinton was somehow a bigger threat to our national security.

CAMPOS-DUFFY: And, you know, what impacts your life more, that Donald Trump didn't put the right things in the right boxes or didn't, you know, did he declassify, did he classify when we know he's the president and he has the ability to do that? Or what we're seeing, this corruption that's actually impacting our policy and our national security?

HEGSETH: To your first example with Hillary Clinton, we know that foreign entities likely had access to her e-mail.

CAMPOS-DUFFY: Yes, the Chinese did.

Pete Hegseth proceeded to make the argument that because Clinton was a presidential candidate and wasn't prosecuted, Trump shouldn't be prosecuted now.

HEGSETH: Reading the Secretary of State's correspondence, and yet James Comey went to the podium and said no reasonable prosecutor... part of that calculation was that that she was a candidate for president of the United States.

CAIN: Yes.

CAMPOS-DUFFY: Absolutely.

HEGSETH: Which could have been participant of the calculation.

Which was followed by Cain pretending that Trump could have had Clinton prosecuted all on his own, and that Biden had better get ready for political retribution from Trump if we're unfortunate enough to have him back in the Oval Office:

CAIN: Trump was the executive at that time. By the way, it's not usually the FBI's choice on when or when not to the pursue charges. It's the Attorney General's choice on when to pursue charges.

Trump could have but did not push forward with those charges against Hillary Clinton from the executive level, and now his successor does so, to him, a rival political party.

And I think here's what happens, Joe Biden. You've opened Pandora's box, so I would imagine you should probably lawyer up.

They've been lying that Biden should "lawyer up" nonstop on Fox since he announced his candidacy and haven't stopped yet. I'm sure they'll have no problem if Trump is back in the White House with him deciding he can use his executive authority to jail anyone he wants. They do seem to love fascists these days.
