Conservatives want to present fake history instead of actual history because it makes them uncomfortable. But you aren't supposed to feel comfy while learning history. The state of Florida has been criticized over its 2023 Social Studies curriculum because it includes lessons on how "slaves developed skills" that could be used for "personal benefit," according to CBS News. To be clear, and this shouldn't need to be said, the only people who benefited from slavery were the lazy slave owners.

After Vice-President Kamala Harris strongly condemned the state's new set of standards for how Black history should be taught in public schools, Fox News's Jesse Watters weighed in and inadvertently agreed with her.

Watters, a noted person of color, said, "No one is arguing slaves benefited from slavery. No one is saying that. It's not true."

And then he agreed.

"They're teaching how black people developed skills during slavery in some instances that could be applied for their own personal benefit, he added.

He just made Harris's point for her. Thanks, Jesse!
