Tennessee Republican Tim Burchett made the baseless claim that the military is a victim of "the woke agenda."
Then he used this as a jumping-off point to add a ridiculous amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act, NDAA.
To attack the trans community, (as is the new norm for scumbag Republicans), Burchett wants all trans men to sign up to the military.
That'll show them!
"Which would require anyone that identifies as a man to register for the selective service," Burchett said. "If these folks want to be treated like men, they need to act like men."
When did it become a law that you are not a man unless you serve in the military? I missed that in the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
"I don't support the woke agenda, as you know. I'm fully against it, but if Democrats want to play ball, then let's play some ball," he said.
What a stupid, stupid man.
"Let's see what excuses they come up with opposing this plan and put some real responsibility on the folks," Burchett whined.
Apparently, Burchett has forgotten that his party's presidential frontrunner, Donald Trump, tried to ban transgender people from serving in the military.
