When former President Donald Trump was in power, the revolving door at the White House press secretary's podium was inundated with liars. We were supposed to believe that 'Alternative Facts' is an actual thing. That Trump's inauguration was bigger than Barack Obama's. And that you can change the trajectory of a storm with a Sharpie. We were all gaslit.
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz appeared on Fox News with Harris Faulkner and told her that he was stunned to hear a lie come from the White House podium. I'm not even sure what he's talking about. He mentions Hunter Biden (you must do that ten times daily to stay in the Republican Party).
"You know, it really is stunning to see number one, the White House, uh, dissemble and and and lie from the White House podium," Cruz said. "Listen, this...this latest indictment that is coming on Hunter Biden. It's not a surprise."
"It's completely expected," he continued. "And unfortunately, it's part of a pattern."
And then he plugged his podcast.
"As you know, I do every week a podcast," he added. "The podcast is called Verdict with Ted Cruz. We do it every Monday, Wednesday and Friday."
He doesn't think we remember Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Or Sean Splicer. Or Donald Trump. Cruz, you propagated the Big Lie. Look at him out there murdering irony like it's nothing.
